Sixaxis + DS3 here too.
Always Controller, i started playing GT1 with the D-pad cause when i got the PSX there wasn't analog sticks :S

I am also using DS3,still finding a way past the X2010 challenge.

Yep, I been playing since GT3 and I always used my controller. Never got around to buying one and I get around just find without a wheel.

I use both... If I'm really feelin' it, then I'll fire up the DFGT. But sometimes I just want to lounge on the couch, you know... then it's DS3 time.

I've mostly been playing GT5 with a DualShock. I have a G25 and even built a small "rig" for it, but where I live now, space doesn't really allow it at the moment.

Been using DualShock since GT3. But i have got a wheel recently and im having fun with it. So far, i will still use DS for more "serious" races like Special Events and higher-leveled A-Spec events while i use my wheel for practice races and time trials.

DS3, twin analog sticks method for me. I´ve been playing like that since the first GT. I´ve tried a friend´s G25, and it was awsome, but I feel more comfortable with my DS3. If I could afford a wheel, sure I would get it. But by now, I don´t feel that the DS is slowing me down. I guess its all about getting used to it. If you manage to learn to drive with both analog sticks, and be as delicate as possible with the gas/brake/steering imputs, you would be amazed by the precision that the DS controllers have. I equals to that of a wheel in a minor scale.

I've used DualShocks all my life! I'm never gonna change! :sly:

👍 BTW, I´m liking your profile pic.

The only reason Not to use a wheel is to drift. I cant countersteer the thing fast enough:ouch:

still using the DS3 since GT1 and still using the old driving methods (no analog and pressing left 7 times to turn a small left turn)

A decent wheel costs $150-200 a good wheel costs $300-500 and if its a Fanatec you get to add the frustration of waiting months for your product to arrive. Then to top it off you will need a stand or seat which will run anywhere from $130 for a Fanatec rennsport stand to $300-400 for a playseats evo all the way up to $1000-2000 for some of the best cockpits withs good monitor brackets.

So at a minimum your looking at $150 for a Logitech Driving Force GT and $130 for a Fanatec RennSport Stand which may take months to get that stand. Add taxes and your talking $300 just to get into a basic wheel setup.

Because of this you are not the minority if you have a dualshock you are the majority. There is also this https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=128453 which may be decent who knows.

Personally I am using a dualshock at the moment but they absolutely suck as a controller and the xbox controller is much better.

I will be receiving my Fanatec wheel on the 22nd which I ordered in mid January and am lucky as there are people who wont be getting it till may.

I will use a playseats evo. But I am a 28 yr old adult who has been saving for this for the last 4 years.

All in all though I am fairly certain that when you drive a F1 car, x2010, or anything on a circle track a wheel is going to leave you in the dust compared to a controller. The only thing that may change that is that now with the sensitivity adjustment oval tracks might not be as bad as they where before.

Using a DS3 and analog sticks for steering and throttle. L2/R2 for changing gears. Don't want to have to pay a lot for a decent wheel and I don't have much space to put it anywhere.
