Brethren. I have a confession.
I've race tuned my Bugatti Veyron! :guilty::guilty: Lighter body, Exhaust and intake tweaked, a sports chip and full gearbox, suspension and Drive train ugrades. In short if you can stick it on, or take it off I did.

Anyone else tried this?

I have to say it's fast 1225bhp will do that for you and with the lighter body it gets up to 691 pp, I expect more once the engine beds in.

Cornering is OK :banghead: but even short straights are an 'opportunity'.

yes I have done it, But I am not ashamed of it I love the Bug

That's a big relief. I thought about it afterwards was unsure as to my sanity.

Thousands have done this. It's in the game for a reason, so drive it how you want to. I've fully tuned one of mine and I've kept one stock.

People say the Bugattis a noob car, those people just can't drive it. It really does take skill and patience to master the Bugatti but once you have, it's an excellent car.

People are saying its a noob car because its often used in online lobbies to ram others who want to drive clean and fair.

I have done the same, love this car. Eff the haters.

I'm sure that most people have fully tuned the Veyron for racing at Route X or Daytona.

I was chucking around it Madrid against LM cars! I nearly won! Second by under 0.2s.

I got 693 PP on mine, 1243 bhp... love it, I used it to spam cash rewards in expert/ extreme level events

You don't have to be a noob to want to ram people. I think it's more likely that first timers use it because it's known outside of the game as being a fast car, so they assume it will give them an advantage. Of course, once driven, you'll know that isn't the case, but by then the casual racer will have late braked his/her way into everyone's bad books. I think the same can be said for the X2010/11 cars.

An even dirtier secret, I have mine race tuned for 600 pp and it's pretty capable. Slightly off pace and you won't beat a really good driver in a really good car but it is competitive most of the time in my hands. Hard on the tires though...:grumpy:

This is true, which makes trying to drive it online a living hell. It is not a noob car, it's a car noobs use because of it's relatively easy to achieve. Noobs use it at Daytona or Route X, not at the Nurb, where I love trying to perfect my Veyron driving skills.

It's a wonderful car, tuned or untuned.

I've been thrashing around Madrid in the 750pp Challengeand managed a win with some very close 2nd places in the process. I was surprised how well it coped with the tight corners, but I suppose it's mainly a point, squirt and brake track. I tried it at Monza and it just wins easily!

or route X.
my first online race everyone was in a veyron except me in my SLS AMG . even though my sls can go as fast as a veyron its got less acceleration. but owns it in corners.

GO SLS!!!

Tuning, here I come!

Can't wait to try the bug out!!!

In my noob months I has ruined lots of classic pieces of auto art :P

Now I'm trying to "discard" that craps and buy the car in his original state.

Hmm, must be some extremeeee SLS that can go 430+ KM/h...

All my 5 Veyrons are tuned: Lighter body, RS tires, Custom Suspension setting... However, I haven't touched both the engine and the transmission of any of them...

;)

My SLS Mclaren 19" wheel option is 900+bhp, by a chunk and can out run LMP1 cars on the straights of Monza or a Sarthe. I think the Supercharger helps here!:) Cornering isn't bad and on Grand Valley it will win a 750pp Challenge, passing the rest of the field with ease by the end of lap two. RS full tune of everything and some uncompromising passing does the trick! :)

It is not a nice car to drive though as you spend a lot of time with a feathered throttle waiting for the corners to end, or on the brakes getting the thing stopped for the next corner.

I plan to try the Veyron on a few more circuits. Any suggestions for 'suitably' unsuitable ones would be welcomed.

Thats the SLR not the SLS. Either way, neither could match the Veyron on the straights but I think he meant the circuits, not Route x, where a Benz could easily take down poor tuned Veyrons.

Mine is fully tuned and handles well, the secret is in the lsd. used it to beat 600pp spa seasonal a few weeks back.

Indeed, the Veyron on a track with *gasp* curves is slower than a Citroën 2CV, maybe not but it's darn close.

Welcome to november 2010.

I don't understand the point of these threads. I'm sure you will get your PSN account suspended for tuning a car. You should sell that Bugatti and get a stock one.

SIGH.

I've done the same with the two that I have. I even made one of them gold =P

I have 8 Veyrons (6 of them are just collecting dust)One I kept stock and ran the French races and one or two others, and one I tuned to the max and it so far has 1186hp I didn't check pp but from what I've been reading here I'd say high 680's if 1225 is 693,oh did I mention it was silver chrome? :scared:

I believe a fully broken in Veyron is 1256, I'm pretty sure that's what mine is at.

:guilty: guilty secret?

I don't see the big deal with this kind of thing. And it's sure common enough.
People should do whatever they want with their cars even if it's completely ridiculous.

That said, I don't think much of griefers in pub lobbies or whatever. That's a different matter.
That's probably what people mean when they call it a "noob" car. They don't mean a "newbie car". They mean it's a car/set-up favoured by griefers... But this kind of thing happens in every multiplayer video game ever made I think. There are psychology papers published in scientific journals about the phenomenon.

I don't want to drive or race my favourite car around SSR7, let alone a hopped up Veyron going around SSRX. :boggled:

But GT5 was specifically made for people to live out their car fantasies, whatever they might be!

PS: Ben78 is just a "Debbie Downer".
Don't let anyone throw a wet blanket on your fun! hahahahaha

Still hoping for some circuit suggestions. As an example It gets kinda interesting at Toshuba!
