Anyone ever drag race on the test course?

You know--grab a friend, go to 2 player battle in arcade mode, go to the test track, you pick some even cars, you start the race, you line up at the line when the race 'starts,' wait until you're both ready and then when the ET hits 10 seconds (or 15 if you weren't ready by then) you run each other for 400 meters?

Sounds boring but it's really very fun! Just make sure to use manual transmission cuz that's the only way to go for this.

I've done with that my friend a few times. It is pretty fun, and we use manual transmission to make it challenging. You can also go to 1000 meters for a longer drag race.

Yeah we usually go to 1000 meters but we mostly count the 400 meters because that's were the mistakes hurt more and the cars don't have to be as equal for it.

Just curious. If any of you haven't done it just try it a few times it's pretty fun.

Its usually my mates skyline against my viper. But we tend to do it on a normal race track and just throttle it down the starights from a standing start after we have had a few good laps.

Actually yeah that too... anymore whenever we race on basically any track we line up at the starting line first. It is indeed a race to the first corner.

I do that as well when doing two player and sometimes do a 50 km/h starting drag. (cruise along at 50 k's and floor it when the clock reaches a certain time)
