Anyone having issues with GT DD Pro and GT7?

For some reason, my wheel has been making a slight buzzing feel coming from the DD Pro motor.. there are also some slight weird feedback issues where there is a huge deadzone and I lose any road feel. I have my force feedback and sensitivity settings on 9 for both in game.
Anyone else noticing this? On GT Sport, I didn't have these issues.

Is there an updated recommended settings guide for gt7 anywhere?

Are you on a PS5 when you get a buzzing feel is in the steering wheel rim ?, because I had a buzzing in the GT DD Pro wheel rim. So I change the USB cable to the rear of the PS5 to the front, and that seem to fix that.
When you say I have my force feedback and sensitivity settings on 9 for both in game, I can not find the settings you talking about.

It’s a ps5 but I’m plugged into the front already..
When you start a race, press start, go to settings then controller settings and you’ll see.. you can change the sensitivity of the wheel and the strength of the feedback

That’s for GT Sport though.. gt sport the max was 5 on each. GT7 the max is 10 so I’m sure it’s changed at least a little lol

I see. So it’s been clipping for me the whole time lol
 
I had used headphones all the way through since yesterday, but when I took them off earlier I could hear a buzzing noise when turning the wheel while idle (in menu). I had never heard it before, and I will keep an eye on it...

On my GT DD Pro that buzzing or a sandy feel I felt it in my hands when holding the wheel, so I fix it for now but if it happens again I will contact Fanatec Support.
 
Sensitivity needs to be lower for more nuanced feedback. It’s like a dynamic range slider. At 9 it’ll clip like crazy, Also torque at 9 must be a right workout. I use 1 1

Is the FFB good in GT7? I am coming from iracing and Assetto Corsa but gave up SIM racing 3-4 years ago. I was using a DD wheel with 20nm back then. So I was thinking to just come back to GT7 and probably buy a Fanatec DD Pro with boost kit. 8nm should be fine. But I remember from GT academy, the FFB was just awful in comparison to Assetto Corsa, iRacing or GTR2. Did that improve? I am just asking because I dont know if its worth to invest 1000 bucks and get a FFB thats very poor. In that case maybe a Logitech G27 could do the job as well...

It’s not good in 7. Sport was better. Hopefully it gets fixed

Why is it not good for GT7 ?, to me FFB is way way better than in GT Sport. Using the GT DD Pro it is fantastic for GT7 and all PD need to do is to tidy up the physics, and we have a dam good game.

Some rumble strips don’t give any feedback at all, feels like they’ve gone overboard with weight transfer physics so it can feel a bit dead in flat straight lines. The snap oversteer is very jarring with no warning, although this is likely the borked physics. I felt sport had more nuance. Im sure it’ll be honed. I’m running Fanatec recommended.

I get a feel when the car goes over the rumble strips during the licence tests, and I have almost got them out of the way. So I think there is no issue with rumble strips, unless you get some rumble strip that you don't even feel at all, and that I think you can't blame the wheel for that.

Ergh! Those settings are HORRIBLE. It's like being on my old G29 crunching a gearbox full of bolts. A bit of front end slide in a fwd car and it's like the engine is lunching itself and the wheels are folding underneath the car. Wtf?


That can't be right?

I felt the same and made a similar post but going back to auto set felt quite detached. I was kind of amazed that settings could have such a drastic impact. I’m sure there’s a happy medium in there somewhere. Trouble is I don’t know what any of the settings actually do lol.

You ever tried Assetto Corsa? Is it comparable? In AC the wheel pretty much never stops doing something. You feel every uneven spot on the track.

No I have not tried ACC because I like to try a lot of cars than ACC has got.
 
No. Went back to A Set. But the ffb sensitivity does nothing. Nothing. I can set it to 1 and barely feel kerbs for e.g. I can set it to 10 and it's exactly the same. This isn't a matter of fine tuning. This is simply not working.

The only thing I can notice is that on 10 it seems harder to spot loss of traction on acceleration and harder to stop a fishtail.

Keep FOR 100 and increase torque in game if the wheel is too light.
With the NDP set at 60 isn't the steering wheel too slow when countersteer?

That's because some of them are not rumble strips. They're just painted smooth concrete. That's why in Britain they're called "kerbs" and in Argentina they're called "pianitos" (little pianos because of the way they are painted). Not all of them are sculpted to make "rumble".
 
Yes with GT7 everything is wonderful about it apart from one thing, It is to hard another game which I begged for a difficulty slider and now I have one and put it on easy it is still far to hard for the average gamer. Licenses after the first 2 are just to difficult unless you are a seasoned PS player.
I am not anymore haven't played since driveclub about 2 years back, I only bought a ps5 for gt7 and I gave up and gave it all to my son who doesn't care about it after an hour of playing but he is only just 8.
PS5 and GT7 for sale as a bundle soon to be on Ebay.
Shame as I really looked forward to gt7.
I just wish Easy/Beginner meant easy because it doesn't.

Yeah I found the in game torque at 3 a bit too light and 4 a bit too heavy.

NDP seems to directly affect the grinding when the front want to wash out. It seemed to dampen it from g29 geared stepping (that was so bad it was making my rig rattle!) to something more like a t300. The higher the smoother it seemed. Counter steering seemed fine for me, but then my arms might be twice the size of yours :P

This was all in the gr4 supra at maggiore. I could get and hold a power drift quite consistently (approaching a 4 wheel drift) as I could feel when the rears were at their peak slip. Probably totally different in a gr3 or road car! But we have 4 more sets to use...

What are you running?
