Anyone having problems with Crashing/Freezing?

Since I installed the new update GT5 is freezing every time I try and navigate round the menu screens, anyone else having issues?

No, but I would suggest trying to clear the game cache in the settings menu.

I had my first crash in GT5 since release, I accidentally entered the online lounge then tried to back out immediatly and it froze up and booted me back to the XMB.

Well my GT5 is now sluggishly moving in between screens and stuff, taking long to recognize button presses. Hmm might be a glitch, but then again I loaded up the game and left it running while I left the house for a bit. I will start the whole thing over and let you know if it also is happening on my main game save.

I think it might have something to do with online, as when it goes slow there is no hard disk activity when there should be, so it's probably due to online connectivity issues. Going to check to see if there is any maintenance on PSN today.

Yes it hanged a couple times and it is annoying. Hope PD can fix it...

Has to do with the network, because moving between offline parts of the game move normally but using anything that gets information from the net will result in slight delays. Should clear up on it's own in a matter of hours.

I quit playing as the hanging draws me out of my groove. Besides I have some things to pick up including a PSN card to get my DLC. PD sure is moving quickly with patches since 2.0 went live, I wonder if it's because they have paid for DLC? Oh well hope this continues, this game just keeps getting better, now about those leaderboards, I don't really care for them but lots of people do and well it said that there were going to be leaderboards on the back of the box and where are the game invites while in game? Never ever seen that. XMB needs an overhaul Sony, fix it so it integrates better with games that are loaded up.

Agreed, something is wrong with the online elements as its hanging between b-spec races too.

Mine freezes on a almost daily basis, usually happens in track selection screens, online lobby's and during races. Pretty sure it's not my ps3 overheating as it happens within 5-10 minutes. It makes the game unplayable.

I found the game to have sluggish loading times between the menus because it keeps accessing the network, if I sign out of PSN the load times are fast.

I tried this and it still freezes all the time this is getting annoying and PD want to get it sorted seriously it's pissing me off

Since 2.0 I have had the game "hang" around 5 times now, always after winning a seasonal. Race finishes fine, credits & xp awards fine then after I have clicked OK on the helmet or suit award the clock timer appears & won't go away! I have left the ps3 on in this state for around 30 minutes to no avail - have to quit game & restart to find any record of seasonal win or prizes is missing.

really? 2.01 fixed all the hanging that spec 2 caused for me, for the first time since spec 2 i can jump crazily between menus, and for the first time since i got the game i can load online lobby's in less than 10 seconds!

Seems to have sorted itself out now, maybe it was the server load of all the updated being downloaded?
