A list of every thing wrong with The Fast and the Furious?

The question should read what is not wrong with the fast and the furious...

True but I know there is a list somewhere but I don't know were to look.

There's only one thing wrong with that movie, and that is the fact that it ever got made. :knockout:

I just need the list I know there has to be one. Like the Eclipse having 8 speeds. I wish my Eclipse had an 8 speed.

Speaking of cars, ever remember Steve McQueen's Bullitt where one car loses 6 hubcaps en route?

also there was that old VW bug that appeared in almost every car chase scene in the movie,.. the same damn car over and over

Everything about F&F sucked. Two foremost things on my list:

1) A hemi-powered Charger in that trim could have towed that Supra backwards like a garden trailer behind a minivan.

2) Since when does running broadside into a semi tractor - which is virtually vertical, and many times taller than the car in question - cause a car to fly high up into the air and do a barrel roll, with its entire front end intact? I freaking hated that stunt when they used it on the lameass old A-Team shows. 20 years later hasn't made it any better.

it was 7.not 8.go count 'em again.

yes, there are ALOT of things that were wrong with the movie.but i but 'ya 95.9% of the people that saw the movie had no clue that anything was wrong with it.

BTW:WTF is "granny shifting" and "double clutching"?!

Hell, there's more reality in Indepenence Day than in F&F.

Granny Shifting is up-shifting very slowly and carefully while pushing the clutch all the way to the floor for each shift.
A "racer" will only depress the clutch (if (s)he uses it at all) just past the "friction-point" while upshifting. A really good driver does this so smoothly, you hear the shift, but don't feel it, unlike the "herky-jerkys" of a bad shift.

Double-Clutching , (usually used when downshifting, not upshifting) is depressing the clutch, shifting into neutral, stepping on clutch again while matching revs, then shifting into the next lower gear (happens much quicker than it sounds).

Thanks Gil you got there before me

No prob Joey.
Just glad to be of assistance.

As for what is wrong with TF&TF. How about the "ten-second" race lasting for 4-minutes?

And where in the world did the floor of the Mistu end up?

Where did Vin Deisel put his feet after "the buster" rescued him from the cops? (see above queston)

What about Vin Deisel in Mexico in the Chevelle (cool car BTW) after spending the entire movie working on imports?

The totally unsafe over-loading of that Ford Lightning with parts for the Supra?

Who ever heard of a shop with a Lightning for a parts chaser?
it's usually some little ****box truck with a magnetic sign on the side.

Ya I wondered about a lot of those things to.

The floor to the Mitsu was the best!!!

And those tank of NOS (hehehe NOS) wouldn't they be empty if he used it all during the race? But no they explode for some reason when shot at.

Actually, the tanks wouldn't be empty. I think they were "hundred shot" units. But why in the world did he need TWO tanks?
Why didn't he just run over the crotch rockets or use the nitrous for a quick exit?
And who puts a NISSAN SR20DET motor in a Honda? It won't work. OR fit. The SR20DET is set up for RWD not FWD. The only motor in the series that would half work, is the one from the Sentra SE-R from the early 90's.

Oh ya thats right they were 100 shot.

And I didn't think about the engines not fitting. Good catch.

Another question.
When the cops "arrested" Spilner, did they leave the Lightning where it sat? Was it impounded? If not how did he get back to it? You know the cops wouldn't have taken him back for it.

I guess it just sat there unlocked with the keys in it.

Just another thing that makes no sense in the movie.

Also in all the time I raced I never went to a race on a main road were cars blocked off traffic. Thats just stupid.

Another thing they make a big deal about how racers shouldn't have speedometers in the making of the movie on the DVD. But for some reason every car has one. Hmmm?
