I have seen unsubstantiated rumors on the web talking about this May 24th date. I will post the site if/when I see something that looks reliable.

Edit: It looks like we will not be getting any official word on a date (other than May 31st) from Sony: According to USA Today, Sony spokesman Patrick Seybold responded to the Giant Bomb report, stating "we've not announced a specific date other than to say we expect to have the service fully restored by end of the month. Anything other than that is purely speculative."

Sony now saying before the end of May.
Scheduled maintenance is happening just now from what I gather from some articles.

No confirmed date yet.

The latest information I have on PlayStation Store is that we are aiming to have it live by the end of May. Contrary to popular rumours, it will not be reopening tomorrow but we will let you know here as soon as the date is confirmed.
