the way i see its become normal to release half a game *kuch*bf4*kuch*

community is still missing
when is the coursemaker coming?
when is that ''drive a road in real life and import that into gt6'' thing

do they dont care about gamers anymore , im getting a little fed up with gamemakers releasing half games and update/fix it after release with the thought; "you can play the game right?'

The way developers are going is something I fear far less than the way players are becoming more and more impatient. Sorry, just my two cents.

its like picking up your new car from the dealer and when u arrive the salesman says ;''you can only use the first gear because the rest is broken , we will fix that in the next few months''

the way gamemakers treat there customers is ridicilous sorry for swearing but that just the way it is.

and the worst part is , that we cant do anything about , yeah we can stop buyinh **** from them , but that probably never gonna happen

I don´t know if you knew but in former East Germany, if you preordered a Trabant (that was a, no THE car manufacturer there) you had to wait aproximately 10 to 16 YEARS!!!! for its delivery. Don´t know about you but this made me think...

You can't just compare cars and games/software like that.

Developing a game like this costs massive amounts of money. By bringing it out before all promised content was production ready, they secure some funds before everything to be included is finished and therefore reducing the risk for the business division (the ones that control the budget).
It is a growing trend with the economical crisis to take less risk.
At the same time there are a lot of players that are very happy to receive at least something to play already. A lot of people can keep themselves busy with the basic content provided and will enjoy any further content that gets released in the future (for free, I might add)

Another option would be: bring out the game the way they did now, for a reduced price. Bring out all the updates and extra content as payed DLC. (Less favorable for the business division in any case)

I honestly am happy with what we've gotten so far.
Everything gets more and more complex these days, so I feel like it's only to be expected that when you expect everything to be just as perfect as it was when games fit on a floppy disk and could be run by the equivalent of today's microwaves, you'll be disappointed...

A quick reminder of the Terms of Service for members posting in here:

  • You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.
and
  • You will not use profanity in the forums, nor link to content which contains offensive language without sufficient warning

That means we expect to see the use of capital letters to start sentences and for names, etc. It also means that posts containing abbreviated swearing are also not acceptable.

Future issues will lead to posts being deleted and formal warnings being issued.

the car thing was just an example how i see it .

i dont know if any of you have battlefield 4 (for pc) but that is just 1 big piece of **** , every now and then u just cant play the game , every bugfix patch brings new bugs. they keep promising things they cant hold on.

and with the gt6 sounds sound terrible and that has nothing to do with the performance of a ps3.

sometimes i wish i had another hobby then playing games

I've asked you to use capital letter to start sentences, not to be a master of the English language.

I've spent a goo ten years working with people from the Netherlands and know full well that the use of capital letters to start a sentence is perfectly normal. As such we expect you to follow the exact same site rules that every member does (and they come from the entire globe).

What you are being asked to do is not difficult and to be quite blunt if you can master the language well enough to swear then I'm sure you can start a sentence with a capital letter.

well, BF4 is an EA game...

All prejudice aside though, gt6 has a core of die-hard fans, which PD tries to listen to. While they might move more towards trying to satisfy the general public, they know that they're dead in the water without the core fans.
BF4 on the other hand has a much bigger audience and I wouldn't be surprised if someone up top decides on having a lower level of quality control. They crank out a new BF every year or so, so the need to make a polished game that will last for half a decade is lot smaller.

fair enough

fair enough

Wrote without a capital. ;)

As for the original question. Best way to get an answer is in the news section. Generaly if it's not in there then no one knows. The news feed always has the latest happenings and is always my first port of call. Basicly, if it's not in the news it's not news worthy! :)

That made me lol. Come on practice what you preach ;)

Ok well if we're being picky you could do with a comma after the word blunt & another after the word swear. Thank you :)

We are not after perfection, but feel free to carry on if you wish, I'm sure the staff will enjoy checking every one of your posts in the same way.
