Nothing beats a roll with yellowtail or fried eel.
And nothing makes me more sad than somebody going to a good sushi place and ordering a California roll. Ive yelled at people for doing that.
I love avocado in a sandwich. But its not a satisfying substitute for fresh tuna (which is literally what the avocado is designed to replace, texturally). And I think putting cucumbers in sushi is one of the worst ideas ever, and I think that putting imitation crab in sushi is the worst idea ever.Don't like avocado?
I don't know...I always thought of sushi as... girly food. I mean, if you like sushi I won't think you're gay or something; it's just that most of the time I see people eating it, it's usually women.
It won't full me up, and too expensive for too little.
I'd rather have a good 24oz. Skirt Steak. (:

They can't get enough! 👍
I also love the "spider roll"
Well, If I say it won't full me up...it's because I've tried it before..Have you ever had sushi? Two rolls fills me up, three if I'm really hungry. It's a lot of rice, which is always filling. Also I think every sushi place I've ever been in has a majority of men eating there, always between 20-35. It's also not terribly expensive.

Um, try an inch and a half wide, and at least half a foot long. You’re obviously talking about one little cut from a whole roll.Dude, a roll is like..what, an inch and a half long
Sounds alot like me and the usual crew I eat it with...i love the fact of sharing several rolls with friends, its a great way to spend a night especially if you have a great sushi bar to go to...
If I'm not mistaken the Spider Roll has something fried in it...I'm not a huge fan of the rolls with fried seafood in them...I particularly like a california roll with real crab or the great specialty rolls that they serve at the OSAKA's in town. Some of those are amazing!

Dude, a roll is like..what, an inch and a half long? if 2 rolls fill you up, then you're obviously not capable of downing some Baby back ribs, or a double whopper with cheese. I understand that it may not be as healthy as sushi, and probably you're one of those guys who eat salad, yogurt, and really watch their eating habits, it's fine. But here, at least the people who I know or hang out with, know that a steakhouse is more likely a place for us to eat at, whereas our girlfriends, always talk about gathering at a sushi place.
And no kidding, I've had sushi like five times, since there are plenty of sushi joints here in NYC, and I can tell you that 85-90% of the costumers, are women. That's all.

That's what you see in every sushi place here, and I know it's not that big.
So what is a sushi roll for you guys?See my clarified edit.
Yes, yes, we all know you don’t like anything non-bovine, Dan.Perhaps they dislike sushi but were dragged there by friends....
$6-$10 is still a rip off, every place around me sells rolls for $3-$5 depending on the type of fish. Only the fancy places will charge you $10 and they taste no different.
Okay, say you order a regular hamburger...two buns and a meat paddy with mustard and ketchup only for a dollar. A big mac taste alot different for almost like what, triple or quadruple the price. I agree its expensive and fancy places charge 10+ but if its a decent restaurant your going to have a worthwile experience for the extra money...it better taste different for ten dollars lol
If you’re in Cali, that’s called a pretty good deal.$6-$10 is still a rip off
