I might even take part in that show!

But seriously, £250,000 for a dentist is way to much. A good dentist would earn £100,000 tops. Even that is slightly ambitious

It is for scotland unless they have a extreme shortage. In central london he could make about £200,000 ut then he would still have to pay the nurse, pay the rent and pay for all the equipment and stuff. Id say he coukd make about £120,000 a year if hes good at it.I think the NHS guys get around 80k.

Could try playing the lottery, could win a couple of million pounds, but of course theres an element of 'probably-not-winning-in-this-lifetime' involved. :nervous: :dunce:

I'm not sure the GT90, had it ever been built, would've felt much at home on a dirttrack.

Thats what I was thinking, the RS200 was a 4wd car built to homologate a rally car Ford developed.

The GT40 was a mid engined supercar built to homologate a GT racer Ford developed.

I think the GT90 has a bit more in common with the GT40 than the RS200.

Ford recently (within the past couple of years) held an auction of their concept cars 'back catalogue'. Some of these went for real big money - so it is possible that the GT90 could fall into private hands.

Right (Dr.Evil Voice), somehow , it's sadder than my obsession with the GT90 that you'd think up a reality show of it.

TheCracker, you are right, this is what I'm talking about. You were the only one to realise I would wait until an auction of this kind. Good man.

I was also thinking about builting an exact replica. That would be 100% possible, there are companies I know of that provide such 100% custom car services. I would have to borrow the original GT90 for a while for dimensions and the like.

VIPFREAK, you ever heard of trucks you can put cars in? Like Knight Rider. Shew Shew, Shew Shew (Knight Rider red thingy)

Which is, of course, naturally, just a phone call away....

The 40 was a big car, though, aside from the AWD, the 90 was quite similar in concept to the RS200, a small, super-light, barebones, powerful, mid-engine car. Add an AWD system and I think you'd have a pretty cool successor...

Well he's a man with a plan, how wide is the GT90, because that sucker looks quite big and I dunno if it would fit into a transporter rig.

Concerning the dimensions of the car, maybe you could get them from a game company that featured a GT90 in their game, they would have a car model of the thing that might help.

and the red thingy in Knight Rider is a scanner 💡

The 40 was a big car

Yup...

GT40 - Overall length - 4191mm..

RS200 - Overall length - 3998mm..

I agree it IS bigger, but not by yards... And the GT90 is coming in at around 4400mm...

Woah, I had no idea the 90 was that huge! Proportions make it look about the RS200's size, not bigger than GT40!

Stats from supercars.net

wheelbase 2946 mm / 116.0 in
front track 4470 mm / 176.0 in
width 1963 mm / 77.3 in
height 1140 mm / 44.9 in

One might call the GT90 the same nickname as the B-52 bomber, BUFF. (Big Ugly Fat ****er) :sly:

Check my site for dimensions rather than get into a guessing game like why the GT90 was called GT90.

Flerbizky, whats that supposed to mean, as far as I know, it wouldn't be too hard to do this, with fee's of course. The guys could work on site.

I'm not old enough to look at all for real and how it would work, it is possible deffinetly though.

I cant believe the 90 thing is still being debated. I thought it was already settled on 90 = the 1990's = the time in which it was concieved and developed as a concept.

I wasn't debating it, why would I , I knew the answer about 6 years before this thread was created.

I was comparing the size debate to the GT90 name debate.

You're 14 right... There's something out here on the other side of the internet some of us has found - it's called reality.. I'm fairly sure you'll be hit pretty hard when it finds you......

Its like my 15 year old friend who thinks hes gonna have a 320hp evo for his first car. He could buy it but he sure as hell aint getting insured. Its something like 3 grand for a 30 year old man with 4 years ncb. Poor kid living in la la land.

It's not that much, you simply won't get insured as a new driver for one unless you can prove your rich. Once your over 25, especially over 25 with full ncb insurance prices plummet. My brother can get an Aston DB9 for roughly £400 over what I pay for my 306, he can't afford the car like, but the insurance hasn't been too bad since he's over 25. His VW Corrado costs him £330 a year with points on his license, my 306 costs me £800 with 3 years ncb and 0 points.

While I admire your admiration for the GT90 in which I agree is quite a unique car of its time, I do have to agree with some of the guys here.

It's a concept. It would become impossible to own unless the museum thinks they can actually make a good deal out of it. Of course, as said before, there's shipping and everything.

If I were you, I'd stick with just going to see the car or getting a job at the museum so that you may actually be allowed to get closer than guests.

But at 14, you've still got many, many years to go to achieve a car like that or almost any concept car.

Hate to say it, but I got a much better chance at acquiring a F1 GT.
