Anyone play in 3D?

Has anyone played this game in 3D? What is it like, like do the AI cars appear In 3D, what are the 3D parts of this game?

The menus and interface are flat, that's probably the only thing.. I find it questionable why they chose to do that but oh well..

Yeah basically though everything else is 3D, any time there's a track and/or car on the screen they will be rendered in 3D.

Basically what Corpsey said, interior views look pretty good too, and while all the menus are 'flat', the HUD in race 'floats' in the foreground which is novel. One question is have is does anyone have any idea what the best settings are in the options menu?

Indeed, i played around with it, really frustrating because you have to go back and forth from menus. Don't make too much depth, because then the picture doubles. My 3D(or settings) is not the best, and i can see two crossing pictures in the foreground, while the background is pretty great.

No but I really want to try it. If I had the extra money I would buy the new TV that sony is selling and mounting it to my rig and taking my PS3 ouf of the living room!

I played it at the AutoRAI (car show). It was also my first time playing it, i don't recommend playing in 3D because almost nothing happens, there was also Motorstorm (i think) in 3D which made way better use of it. Don't buy it just for GT5.

The 3d setup is really frustrating. Every time i tried to set it up properly i got fed up with going back and forth in the menus. Only after 2 months of incremental improvements i got satisfied with the results.

That said, I play in 3d most of the time and really enjoy it.

IMO, most 3D TV's are junk. I have an 55inch LED 3D and I love it! Not just because i spent almost 2 grand on it but because the 3D displays are better than any 3D display I have ever seen anywhere else, even in theaters! The 3D settings in the game (GT5) make all the difference. At first glance, it was so so, but after tweaking the settings 2D is just no fun anymore. Also, it is flicker free which makes all the difference. In case anyone is wondering it is an LG. I have had a sony tv in the past but picture quality and clarity on the sony tv has a long way to come still IMO. Sony tv lasted me 6 months (bought brand new from best buy) which would make anyone angry enough to not buy sony tv's! THANKS SONY! PS3=awesome TV's=$#!T

I dunno, Thor in 3D and Tron in 3D were pretty sick! No complaints here. Black Ops is ok in 3D but I cant stand that game because of all the lag, its horrible. And everyone thinks GT5 is bad...think again.

I bought a brand new sony 52inch two years ago and it died 2 days after i bought it 👎. Went back and changed it for a samsung (Which i love).

I will never buy another sony tv after that.

Wow, 2 days? I thought mine was bad, that sucks, hate to hear it. Worst part of mine is that Sony wanted to tell me it was my fault so they wouldnt have to replace/repair it. How is it my fault when i turn the tv on and i get a black screen? Does the "act of god" come into play here or what? Sony's warranties are the worst in the world. We buy a 3 or 400 dollar PS3 only to have to pay another $150 to fix it. BS

I think thats were the market is,video games. I do know that 3d tv sales are insanely low. A lot of manufactuers are scaling back

I've tried 3D, and it just doesn't work for me. I play one game, and I start to feel really nauseous. It's actually so bad that I can't even play at all anymore for a while. 3D literally makes me sick.

I think the 3-D effect of GT5 is good enough. However, you have to adjust the parameter, of course, in quite a GT way —— inconvenient = =

Ya i hear ya.

I will say this tho. I have had my PS3 since Launch day back in november 2006 and never had a single problem. The thing has been a total trooper for me.
