Some interesting ideas on there, but nothing really new and unique like when they came up with Photo Mode for GT4. Not having a pop at PD, as it must be hard to think of something new for every release of GT.

It depends on what you mean by "new." For racing games in general, none of it is, but for Gran Turismo, it adds up to "best racing game ever" stuff. Being able to race mod our cars like they do in Forza would be utter heaven for many of us. That's the big draw for me in Forza, and if Kaz and the lads put that into GT5, I might never give Microsoft another sniff EVER. And considering the shoddy way they treat their customers, I'm all for that.

Just FYI, that picture/press conference is about 12 months old, BUT, the significance of it has not deminished.

The idea PD has came out and pubicly made known they are at least contemplating these features is great.

Like variable weather, I'm sure these features are on their roadmap, but when will they be implemented in the GT5? Will they be available from Day 1 of Launch or later on via downloadable patch?

At least it shows he is still dedicated to the ideas in that slide.
