When GT3 was first released July 10, 2001 in the US, it was available two ways:

1) Retail version, blue case, art on the disc. The later Greatest Hits version has the same cover.

2) PS2 GT3 Racing Pack, released the same day, with the game in the same red case as the Japanese (and PAL) version, disc says "Not For Resale" and is red.

From a pre-release review of the US version of GT3:

In addition to the basic CD, there is also a PlayStation 2 GT3 Racing Pack on sale for $329. The only difference is the Racing Pack has a limited edition red label GT3 (based on the Japanese version), but it is otherwise the same as the American version.

I'm not selling any of my GT games! I have the Gran Turismo Trilogy, and I want to have every GT game that comes out. I still play all of them too.

Look on ebay...they'll probably have it for less than US $20...maybe even $15 US.
