Anyone still hybriding in GT5?

I were just wondering if anyone still makes hybrids in GT5?
Since last message to GT5 hybriding related thread was at 17.11.2013..
And at hybrid showcase, last message was at 28.1.2014.
I sold my PS3 and GT5 at last summer and now i have started to regret this so bad,
when i have read GT5 & GT6 threads..
I had tons of fun changing engines, chassis and such from car to another..
Now i'm planning to buy PS3 back and both Gran Turismos to it.
And one question to end : What's the newest update to GT5? Is it 2.15?
I'm a bit out, about these games at the moment :lol:

I am. I downgraded to v1.05 and I'm looking thru the game to find hidden things or quirks/etc and also hybriding cars.

I managed to create few hybrids on last couple days..
Still going to make a lot more ;)
 
I will, I'm waiting till I have substantial stuff to show though.

My favorite hybrid I've made so far would be a V8-swapped Miata with a lowered+widened chassis, has 642hp at 950kg. Also I'm trying to find the maximum speed possible in GT5. I made a 150000 hp GTR, but there's nowhere long enough for me to go faster than 900mph. I tried breaking out of La Sarthe and it worked, but it resets me. What version of the game are you running?
 
Stupid question time, i updated gt 5 up to latest update so that I could do seaonals ect I know the servers closed down. Is it possible to remove game data and update to 2.11 so that I can do hybrids ?.

Yes. Go to game data utilities on the XMB and delete GT5's GAME data (not save data.)
NOTE: you will lose all GT5 photo mode pics and replays.
Next, just boot the game and upgrade to like #10, then cancel. Boot the game, it'll be like 2.00something. If not, count the updates needed till 2.11, and update to that number. DO NOT update all the way, only the number required to get to 2.11. Then download the hybrid editor or whatever you wanna use and have fun :)

I'm not sure. But with the hybrid editor and a few minutes of research on NextGenUpdate GT5 forums, you can add any DLC car or track to your save.

Its a bit of a dead duck to me now so not to bothered about some of dlc its the tracks I would like to keep .

The tracks can be added easily. IF you need help just PM me when you have it all set up with just the tracks remaining.

Ok but seen posts like yours before and it iritates me cos you know nothing about me. I'm dyslexic and strugled for years with teachers ect I'm now grown up and dont care about spelling or grammar. So stick that.

I recentally rolled back to v2.11, and now recreating hybrids.

My first one since the rollback, my Slammed Suzuki Cappucchino. Uses the Chassis from the Race Modified Cappucchino (Slightly wider) and Suspension from the Nissan GT-R GT500. This realistic hack is not made for speed, but simply to make it look better.

RB26DETT-swapped S15 silvia

LS7-swapped Miata

Ford Small Block V8 swapped NSX with wider stance

McLaren MP4-12C Twin Turbo w/ massive boost, 1451hp

Audi R8 joke car. Ride height is 7 meters and the spring rate is literally 0. Technically there aren't any springs so it falls to the ground. With negative spring rate the car infinitely rises until GT5 crashes.

-1kg/0kg/1kg Mini Countryman. at 1kg it starts pivoting and spinning on its front left wheel, until it teleports faaaar away from the track and the camera goes black. 0kg it just gets thrown off the ground by its suspension and starts twirling in mid air till it resets. -1kg just floats away. floats, floats, floats until it resets after like 2 minutes of rising into the sky.

Redbull X1 with 101/-1 Weight distribution. this was done with mass weight reduction till it was ~300kg, then I added 255kg of ballast 150% in the front, technically outside the car. The rear wheels will start coming off the ground, and when it is pointed towards the ground it shoots up at a MASSIVE speed but is instantly reset. GT Auto is hilarious with this one.
 
Went back to 2.11 just after GT6's release and am still finding more fun from hybriding and GT5 than anything the new game provides. That said, I have been able to make some hybrid videos in GT6.

Engine: Ford Focus WRC 2008
Suspension: I believe I used the Calsonic R32 Skyline GT-R
Drivetrain: Same as above I believe

Has about 590hp.


I've mostly just been looking to make cars sound better by swapping different engines in.

Oooh, I've been making rally hybrids too. My favorite one so far is my 4WD Renault Clio Mid engine. Pretty fast too.
 
Lets say that I uninstalled all of the updates for GT5 and I wanted to install up to 2.11 even though the online is gone,
could I still do hybriding at all or can I get the update in any other way?

I'm pretty sure you could still do hybriding, but I'm not sure about DLC cars if you can still download them.
 
You can stop the update before it finishes. That's what I did but I haven't checked it to see where it stopped at
