Just curious.., how many of you out there are still playing and enjoying Shift-1? Out of all of my racing titles (which include tiles such as Forza-2/3, GT-5, Race Pro, Dirt 1/2, PGR-4, F1-2010, Shift-2, and a few others).., the one title that I get the most enjoyment out of playing is Shift-1.

Granted all of these titles have something good to offer. EA/SMS has gotten so many things right with the first Shift. The races are intense.., the sound is amazing, and the physics aren't anywhere near as bad as so many had claimed it to be.

Shift-1 just has so many good things going for it. I'm still very excited about Shift-2 (even though it's currently shelved until the first patch). I just hope that EA/SMS can bring Shift-2 up to the level of Shift-1 (in terms of handling with both the controller and wheel.., and getting the majority of the bugs/glitches sorted out).

Shift-1 IMO looks just as good (if not better in many areas than Shift-2) a well. To me it's just one of the best games that balances arcade/SIM style racing.

Sometimes yes.... before I bought Shift2... now I realy don't think I will run it any more.. shift2 is just so much better

I still play Shift 1, mainly because I'm waiting for EA to patch Shift 2.

patch for what?.. even unpatched is like 100x better than shift 1 patched. I think i have a different game from all the people moaning.

Freezing. A well known issue reported by many users in the EA forum and here as well.

it froze one time like almost all games outhere on ps3.. i think i had more issues with uncharted. The situation is normal in my opinion.. on forum it's all exaggerated.. like the input lag, the indrivible lotus etc.

Patch for the steering input lag. I've tweaked the steering settings to death (I use a DFGT) and it's nowhere as driveable as Shift 1.

i've the dfgt and it works fantastic.. way better than shift 1. Maybe i've shift 3.

If it wasn't for this forum i wouldn't even notice the input lag.

I played Shift 1 for an evening a couple weeks ago, to get in the mood for Shift 2. One thing I really like better about the new game - when I want to do a quick race around the Nurburgring, it doesn't lock up my PS3 two times out of three like Shift 1 did. But despite all its bugs I really loved that game.

I played it a while a few weeks ago between finishing TDU2, and before getting Shift 2. There were a few events I hadn't finished, so I went in and finished them off.

I found that driving in GT5 must have made me a much better driver, because while I was playing Shift 1 again after a long hiatus, I managed to master several corners on many tracks that I obviously wasn't able to master previously.
