or maybe the question is does it worth?

If you search "gt5 multiview" on google you will see a youtube video by a certain handsome gentlemen in red pants doing it.

It can be done but not worth it in GT5. On PC sims? yes.

I do it all the time just for fun, but since the game rev matches for you automatically even when you are using the clutch, there isn't really an advantage. It's just nice to have your foot on the gas immediately during/after braking rather than lifting your foot all the way off the brake before getting back on the gas.

The game still does weird thing with shifting with the clutch, or else I'd use it more often...I run my G25 in sequential mode for that reason....

When I use the clutch I always heel-toe (G25).

Ah no wonder I didn't see a benefit to trying this out. Its a programing thing for the transmission by the game developer.

Can I ask you kindly to use proper spelling and punctuation in sentences and thread titles. You must have read the AUP and I expect you to take this seriously.

*inb4 grammar Nazi*

This post is totally unnecessary. More helpful would have been to help this (new) member out instead. 'IBTL' posts and similar worded posts (=grammar Nazi) are frowned upon. This time I'll let you off the hook, don't do it again!

AMG.

IBTL = In before the lock.

It definitely works when you do it in a way the game agrees with. Unfortunately doing it the way you'd normally do it in real life will have you stuck in neutral 90% of the time, trying desperately to get the bloody thing into the proper gear.

Rowing gears as I do in other games is really not worth the effort in GT5 at the moment, it simply misses changes (up and down) too much, so even on regular shifter cars I just use the G27's paddles, even though it pains me to do so.

I hope they fix it though, since I assume they'd have picked up the same problems with the new wheel they've been developing.

I do it only if I'm ahead by a big margin. Sometimes I heel-toe and end up in the dirt because while hitting the gas with my heel, my foot is not as far down on the brake as it should be.

The game actually rev matches for you when using the clutch?
If you shift down without touching the gas, your back end will slide a bit. Good for shift lock drifts.(FR/MR/RR cars that is.)
Then again, I`m no driving technique guru... But I still heeltoe because it`s fun! ;)

If you shift down without touching the gas, your back end will slide a bit.

In that situation, the back end slides because in order for you to rev match for your gear and speed, you would have to rev it past redline.

For example: say you redline 3rd and accidentially shift into 2nd. In this situation it's impossible to rev match without slowing down to the point where you're under redline in 2nd gear.

Oops, yeah now that I think about it I really didn't mean to say that. What I meant to point out is that the clutch is just an on/off switch in the game so rev matching is... not as necessary as in real life? That's the best way I can explain what I mean :dopey:
