Anyone use cockpit view?

How many of you guys drive in cockpit view? I know I have been using it thus far. Are there really any obvious disadvantages to using it?

The only thing I can think of are the pillers getting in the way during cornering.

i do. bumper view might be a bit faster (what i heard) but i like the cockpit view much more

I like to use the most realistic options available-cockpit veiw, and yes the pillars can get in the way on some cars, at some corners,on some tracks. I just look for other reference points to compensate for this, as I imagine this would be the case in real life racing.
This could result in some time lose,some of the time. But I'm prepared to continue with this choice,as the realism is what I prefer.
