Anyone using the eye camera in GT5?

I understand the PS3 eye camera only works in arcade mode, but is anyone using it? If so, how about some opinions? I occasionally use arcade mode to race some tracks and cars I haven't unlocked yet in A-Spec so I was wondering if the eye camera is worth purchasing?

The cam is useful when u set the tightest in-car view angle.
some people like me want to get a more realistic
Feeling of speed, would set the cockpit view angle to the
Most narrow one, because it's similar to human eye vision.
When in this situation,u can't see the back & side mirror,so if u connect
Ps eye,u can turn ur head to see it.
But sorry as u know, just can use in acade mode...

I have one because I bought the Move bundle. It works fine but not as good as the PC version.
Would I buy it just for GT5? Not in a million years as I never play arcade mode. Only Career, Practice and Online for me.

I've used it some in Arcade just to test it out because it's a new feature, but since then I haven't used it much because I'm playing GT Career and it doesn't work in the Career mode. If it did, I probably would use it more, but I don't find myself going into Arcade mode to play much when it doesn't earn you any experience points that go towards your level or credits. I think once I am satisfied with my level in GT Life mode, I will visit arcade more for the Eye Toy Head Tracking feature. I do like it, but I'm trying to progress in the game at the moment so I'm not playing arcade mode much.

It looks to me that using the face track seems calm down that cockpit shake some.

I've only used it a couple of times myself, the first was a disaster, it barely worked, the next time, under better lighting conditions it was definitely better, but quite glitchy and jumpy, plus the head movements were just a bit too laggy to be useful. It helped me lose my kind of spacial awareness in the game simply because it can move when you don't expect it, so for a split moment you think the car is moving off line... so yeah, can be quite confusing. It's a shame it's not more responsive and accurate as I would love to use it, bought a PS Eye (2nd hand) just for this feature in GT5.

It's annoying it is not enabled in the main career mode of the game, which feels a bit silly. I would love it to work better but someone from PD needs to explain how the best way to set it up is, what kind of lighting works best, and what to set the settings to to enable it to work how you want it to. They could even make a head tracking baseball cap or something with markers the PS Eye can see much clearer... just a thought, since better implementations of head tracking I know of tend to use markers actually on the person, rather than using an image and working out where the face is...

I used it the first day and haven't since, it just doesn't work well enough. I also don't use arcade at all. I was pretty annoyed by that since I bought the eye just for headtracking, but whatev it still works fine as a mic.

Anyone know if the camera will work if it's about 10 feet away from where I sit? Or does the camera have to be closer to your face to work properly?

Bought it one day before gt5 came out.
Tried it.
Worked like crap.
Unplugged.

Waiting for A PATCH.

EDIT: just wondering....does it work as a microphone during online? (I mean for any game not just gt5)
