Anyone watch Spogebob Sqarepants

Spogebob: Sounds like Spudbob...
Sqarepants: Not even pronounceable.
Funnist: Come on, couldn't you add just one "e"?

Grammatical and spelling errors aside, I've heard it's a funny show, but have never seen it... Theoretically, because I don't have cable. ;)
 
Has its moments - I would rate it behind Angry Beavers, though.

Of course, nothing compares to the mighty Irken invader, ZIM!!

I don't watch it, but I eat the Kraft Macaroni and Cheese Spongebob shapes...something's wrong with it though, sometimes I'll chew and I'll get a tuff part or something...really odd.

I prefer Scooby poo...

Zim seems tailored to my sense of humour, that's why I find it hilarious.
 
Spongebob is really funny. I rate Spongebob above Angry Beavers, but well below Invader Zim. Zim is probably the funniest cartoon ever produced.

And vat_man, I'm surprised to hear you forgetting "Rocko's Modern Life". It wasn't all that funny, but it was set Down Under... :upsdown:
PS - there's a character in Jak & Daxter the sounds just like Mr. Crabbe...

I thought 'Rocko' was set in the US, Rocko having moved there. It has its moments.

The guy that voices Zim also voices Dag in Angry Beavers.

Favourite moment in Zim - the sequence in 'The Wettening' from when Zim starts to drain the water to the effects of the waterbomb - the guy choking on the fish is one of the creators, and the guy with the hotdog that gets knocked over by the wave is the other guy. Brilliant sequence!
 
Hey now... hey now...

There is a long list of cartoons that will *never* qualify as stupid.

Scooby Doo will be cool no matter how old ya are, the Flintstones, the Jetsons, the Simpsons, Family Guy (ok, so I'm one of the few that like it)

etc... etc...

"Growup people" on a website where the majority of people sit and play videogames whenever possible. :lol: We're probably not your intended audience.
 
I agree with some of that. Simpsons will never be stupid. Niether will King of the Hill. Sorry about the "growup people." I just think Spongebob and crap like that are just plain stupid.
 
I think that finding something that gives you a little bit of joy in today's world should be celebrated, not scorned. I personally find Spongebob pointless, but Dag from Angry Beavers really reminds me of my partner's brother. Zim I just find hilarious - why Nickleodeon picked it up and thought 10 year olds would 'get it' I'll never know. See, you miss out on the personal connection people make with some things.
 
The cartoons I watch are the Simpsons and King of the Hill...I'm sorry but I don't watch kids cartoons...
 
ohh and the SNL cartoons...my fave is the one with Colin Powell doing a discussion with a school I guess. And it's so boring that the kids there are daydreaming, this girl see's Colin walking like the guy in the Levi's commercial. And Colin see's this girls belly button talking, and then Beavis and Buthead appear and they're making fun of what Colin said and then the whole audiance is Beavis and Butthead and Colin starts beating them up.

Also the Today show one...great stuff.

Thank you my Mazda friend thank you. Exactly. Those in my opinion are the only cartoons even worth watching on T.V. :)
 
To tell the truth, I never watched Nickalodian at all...I had it as a channel but I was watching Rescue 911 and Unsolved Mysteries and the Today show. The only other cartoons I watched were Looney Toons(the original cartoons) and Scooby Doo(my dad would always piss me off by saying "How can that dog talk?" or "How did they get the camera in that boat?" lol).

The problem with society today is that everything is meant to protect kids from the truth...well it failed with me cause I was watching sergery and cop shows(CHiPs was awsome, I could tell when a chase was going to happen and everything)...
 
Ugh - ok, most cartoons are cool but I could never manage to get into SouthPark. I'm a good ways from mature, but that was too low-brow for me.

Invader Zim better than Squarepants? What are you smoking? Zim is cool but sponge owns, it can be stupid but it is funny.

Hmm...where did Angry Beavers and Rocko's Modern Life go???
