Apparently my premium ran out. No warning?

Changes are coming to premium service soon; I won't be going into detail on that yet.

You should be able to see when your subscription runs out when viewing https://www.gtplanet.net/premium/, but you might not see it there with a gift subscription purchase - I haven't tested that condition. Otherwise, you can presume your gift subscription lasts for one year from the date of purchase.
I tried that tab and it doesn't show anything. It is as if I wasn't premium at all.
Also what sort of time can we hear about these new features?

I'm not ready to share any time frames yet, unfortunately.

Just noticed 'the infield' had gone missing and totally wondered why, @Carbonox sent me here and it appears my annual premium membership has gone? I renewed it the 31st December I believe......

That took place last week.

The only change lifetime members will experience is an increase in the value of their account. :)

Thanks for the reply. Either way I am good, money well spent in my opinion. 👍 👍

The incredible amount of information available at GTP has greatly...
...enhanced my GT series and PS sims experience...
...enabled me to befriend like-minded people....
...exposed me to great hardware for my rig. :)

Happy camper here. :gtpflag: :gtpflag:

I got really lucky then that I chose to buy Lifetime back in December one week before my premium would have expired.

At least I THINK I bought lifetime, I did pay $25 so I assume it was lifetime or I got something masquerading around as lifetime.

That is sad,
However @Jordan on my lifetime it says that it will expire on 2032. (if that is the 20 year bug then just nevermind about it)

@Jordan I just opened http://gtplanet.net/premium and my Lifetime subscription still says that it has a expire date (Feb 6, 2032). Of course it's a long way out, but I did read in here that Lifetime subscription are lifetime... so they shouldn't have a expire date I believe... What I'm asking if it's right to appear a expire date or there's a bug in my account?

It doesn't expire. The date is a glitch or something in the software but it will not expire. The memership will last as long as GTPlanet.

Edit: Nvm, I'm giving you old info. Read Jordan's post.

It was a software bug which now would only affect premium subscriptions before the GTP12 site software update.

Now that the software supports permanent subscriptions, I have gone back and cleared all those expiration dates so there won't be any further confusion over this. All Lifetime memberships should be shown as permanent now.

Yay for permanent. Now only if I get get a pink name. :)

Ok, that clears my question. Thanks! :D

I just noticed that I can "upgrade" my lifetime premium subscription to a one-year subscription. Were I to do so, would my membership indeed expire next year?

A bit like I can get a year despite already being premium whilst last time I had it the button was locked out until it expired. I also have no counter saying how long is left but I have detailed that already.

No, it wouldn't expire. The subscriptions would simply overlap.

Yeah mine doesn't say how long I have left (mines lifetime though).

So @Azure Flare earlier in this thread was kind enough to purchase a premium renewal for me, and I just noticed that it's gone. Again with no notification. Did I miss something?

Yeah I noticed I can't access the infield either. I was also a lifetime member.

Thats a short lifetime...

I haven't even had it for a year yet even if it wasn't a lifetime premium so there's no reason for it to expire. Something funky is going on with the forum.

@Jordan

EDIT:

I now have it back.

Yes, I'm sorry about that, I made a mistake which cancelled some subscriptions. Service for everyone affected should be restored now.
