Apple Works icon in GT5???

That is odd. Hopefully PD didn't just copy and paste a logo they found on google images :sly:
 
Yep, looks the same to me. Thing is though, I really couldn't care less - it's an icon, does its job, and shows they are saving time by not reinventing the wheel.

People really are scraping the barrel for things to post about eh?!

Exactly, thats what strikes me as odd.

Maybe the delay was caused because PD was trying to get the rights off Apple to use this icon :sly:
 
Could a spreadsheet have anything to do with compiling or working with results from online/networked tournaments, competitions or seasons?

Oh, I'm kidding. That is interesting. Maybe we can draw/paint in GT5's online. Okay, now I'm just making excuses, this is just weird lol.

Gran turismo 5 cancelled due to lawsuit against PD by Apple.

Gran Tursimo, the franchise dogged by delay after delay, was confirmed cancelled tonight as PD suffered another blow, after being sued for millions of dollars for copyright infringement.

A PD spokesperson tonight confirmed that "really it was a blessing in disguise" as they were running badly behind and were failing to meet the now very annoyed fans expectations.

What exactly is Apple Works? Charts and Graphs? Maybe PD uses it to make charts and various graphs to see overall times, sections, fast laps, slow laps, etc etc... to determine the better drivers that are most consistent?
 
I really don't think we'll see AppleWorks (now called / replaced by iWork, apparently?) in GT5.

But it may well just be the button that takes you to the "telemetry" screen! (Missing since GT3!!)
 
it's just hilarious that it is the same icon:)

It would be interesting to hear the back story of how that particular icon ended up in gt5.
