So first off, I don't have as much time as some other people to play this game. I definitely play a fair bit, but I just want to say that because I'm looking to buy the best possible car for the remaining races in the game that come up after you reach level 20.

I've got a fully modded McLaren MP4-12c'10 that has been my workhorse up to this point. I've been able to win most races pretty easily with this car. I also currently have just under 2,000,000 cr. saved up. I have heard people recommend the Formula GT car for some of the later racecar events, which I believe is 4,000,000 cr. Is that car fast enough for the remaining race types left in the game? I just want to make sure that I've spent the money I've worked for wisely, since I don't have as much time as others to win it all back again.

I would appreciate any car suggestions for going forward.

Get the mazda furai and veyron (yes you would have to use b-spec). Then win like the wind and use the minolta in super gt champs. Why buy a car when you can win one?

I'm with most of the other people who have recommended that you save the money for a FGT. I don't personally own one, but from what I've read from people who actually own one, the FGT owns every race it is entered in.The Furai can be won in B-Spec at an extremely early stage and the Veyron, if I'm not mistaking you should have already won that car seeing as you're at level 20.

edit: Complete the GT World Championship in A-Spec professional series and you'll have the Veyron.

Yes, that's the best advice. Save up for the Formula GT. You never know when it will show up in the used car lot, and that's the only place you can buy one, and it's the only car allowed for one of the races in level 23. If you want to complete that race, you need a Formula GT.

Yup, get as soon as you can to level 24 (either A-Spec or B-Spec) and save up some 4.8m otherwise you may miss the chance to buy an FGT and have to cycle forever to get it to appear again.

Dont buy anything, save money till you hit lvl 24 and buy yourself a Formula GT.

1/ You can win the Veyron at the end of Pro series in A spec.
2/ Tune your Veyron till it reqches 1200hp and use it in B spec.
3/ Even the stupiediest driver in B spec can get the Mazda Furai and the Zonda R. (before the end of Pro series)
4/ Use the Furai or the Zonda R (with aero and transmission mods) to win Like The Wind and get rewarded with the Toyota Minolta.
5/ Use the Toyota Minolta to reach 4.900.000 credit and refresh your used car dealer till you see a Formula GT.

The formula GT is so awesome, a lvl 0 B spec driver can win a Extreme event without trouble...

Hey im approaching level 20 also, yet have like $300.000 credits

Maybe i should stop buying and save before i end up having to grind endlessly.

Howd you get so much??. Did you cheat with the bday thing? or did you just not spend and grind?.

Well you got what 4 more levels before you can use the FGT, granted you need to grind up about 6 million to buy and fix it up, but if you have no clear idea of what you want to buy just keep saving until something comes to mind or you find the FTG in the used car lot and can afford it.

I suggest keep saving and get a ~$4mil racecar. The Formula GT, Audi R10, Peugeot 908, Mazda 787B, Sauber C9, Nissans R89C and R92CP, BMW V12 LMR all good choices.

There's no reason to buy anything until you're 24, when you can start looking for the Formula GT. The Toyota Minolta 88C-V is a beast of a car and can be acquired without you buying anything except a Mazda Miata to win the Furai.

Didn't cheat at all. I've completed most of the Special Events (bronzes, lol), and I've gotten gold on most of the A-spec races that don't require a specific car. I've also been grinding the past couple of days, can't remember the race name, but it's 5,500+ XP and $32,000 cash for the one race. Takes about 8-10 minutes.

One thing to consider if you're looking for cash specifically, is that the actual events pay more than single races. For example, the race I mentioned above is part of an event with 2 other races. So that's 3 x $32,000+, and you get a $98,000 bonus for winning the event. So, in the range of $184,000 for the event.

How do the other cars recommended compare to the FGT (Audi R10, Peugeot 908, Mazda 787B, Sauber C9, Nissans R89C and R92CP, BMW V12 LMR)? With the FGT being so rare, I'm going to go for that I think, but I'm interested in hearing more about the other cars if anyone has experience with them. Do you also have to find those in the used dealership?

thanks for the replies

Just keep using cars you win from B-Spec, Special Events, license tests, and earlier A-Spec races. I've bought 5 cars so far (my beginner Civic, an XJ220 which I admit was a mistake purchase at the time, Corvette for the American Muscle Car, Lexus ISF for the German touring cars, R8 as a easy-to-drive 4WD car for general B-spec racing).

The rest of my 90+ cars in my garage are prizes.

Currently closing in on lvl 24, with just under $5M saved for the FGT.

The Formula GT destroys everything with the exception of the X-1.

Yes, those cars randomly appear in the used dealership.

Highest HP doesn't necessarily mean fastest car. Anway the X1 does indeed have the most HP, there are cars though which have more then the FGT.

You can use the IS-F for the german touring car series?

I take it that those two cars have the most HP in the game?

There's a number of cars with more HP than the Formula GT but I don't think anything short of the X-1 can match its power to weight ratio, as it only weighs 550kg. Its handling and braking power are also amazing.
