What are ur fastest times w/ these cars stock no tcs or ASM w/ sim tires? U dont have to do all of em, just whichever u feel like.

Although I must point out the use of "w/ sim tyres"; "w/ these cars" etc. I'll repeat something someone said in a another thread, and mention that there are English-As-A-Second-Language, or perhpas even third or fourth language, members here. I personally would condone correct spelling and grammar.

But then, I'm only a member and I don't have the right to "condone" anything... :ouch:

A) It is common courtesy to type in plain English here. "NoNe Of ThIs SiLlY cRaP, iT a PaIn tO ReAd No? U nO LiKe. WTF, LMAO, hEhEhEhEh". Get the point. It is plain common courtesy to readers of these forums, many who don't even speak or write English as a 1st, 2nd or 3rd language. Plus it is in the Acceptable Use Policy and Terms Of Service that you need to agree to when signing up for an account.

B) You were pointed to the "On-line Racing" forum because that is where threads like your belong. That is where people who actually read the board titles would look for that type of thread. Surely you didn't make it 847 posts without actually looking around the board to see how information is sectioned off. You probably won't find "times" like you want, that isn't why you were sent there.

and finally

C) When you make a mistake like you did here, it isn't best policy to come back like a tough guy whining and beating your chest. A mature person would admit their mistake and show a proper attitude. Not lash out like a moron.

So please, get a clue, will you?

If moderators cant even stay on topic, why expect other members to follow every single rule :dunce: If you really wanted me to listen to you you would have PM'ed me instead of trying to be snide and disrespectfull. 👍 Learn some manors and stop lashing out at people online simply because you suffer some type of distress. If me typing u instead of you sometimes and not capitalizing every single I gets you this bent out of shape, maybe you should be worrying about yourself a bit more. 💡

Its more overly the fact that the effort riquired to type "u" as compared to "you" is minimal, and that all the abbreviations serve no purpose as you are not in much of a rush to type this out, its not like we will all die or something if you take 5 seconds longer.

Now, on topic, I will have times posted up in the next day or two, as my copy of GT3 is not at home right now, and I need to complete Metroid Prime 2: Echoes first. I'll also post times with a random array of my fav cars as well, as I have ton way too many runs on Apricot Hill for testing.
 
My concern is that everyone else makes typing errors, but he decides to be disrespectfull in "confronting" me about mine, and then another person(I use the term loosely) decides to make some unintelligent comments of his own.
Its unfair to bother me about it unless you will bother every single other incident of a spelling error. So unless your willing to do that, listening will be difficult... wait.. i have an idea...💡 If your a MOD, then you can go through all my threads and everyone elses and change the u;s to you's and correct everything else!! 👍 Case closed?

dude...you missed the point(s). You didn't make a spelling or typing mistake. If that was an issue a soild 60% of my threads would be gone. It is understandable.

You intentionally type "U" instead of "you". You made a conscious choice to do that. While I agree it isn't a big deal, though how figgin' hard is it to type "You", two extra keystrokes...GEEEE....really hard - You bad attitude when asked to reconsider doing that in the future has made it worst.

Secondly, you aren't a newb here. You have 800+ posts. I would think you would have a clue how these boardw work and are organized. That something posted for hotlaps on a given course belongs in the OLR board, not the GT3 board.

So the issue is first you being lazy. Secondly you having a piss poor attitude.

I love Apricot and 3 of the cars you list with Sim tires. If you weren't such a whiney baby girl I would consider running this, but the GT4 demo is more interesting.

Meh, the one with the bad attitude is you Gab...

Kensei contributes all over the forum. I have no where near as many posts as you there Gab, but I seem to have a better idea of forum manners. If you were on the forum I admin for, you would probably be under my watch at this point. Not cause of the typing now, but because of how you have responded to the entire issue. While off topicness has been an issue here, you could simply have just not bothered seeing it. By this, I mean ignore it, like mature people can do.

The point of me doing this is so that you can see that you are the one with the attitude. Kensei is quite a reasonable member from I've seen. I consider myself somewhat reasonable as well. So just learn from this, it will make life easier in the future.

And those times... well, I'll still try to get them, but my life is uber busy from stuff that has happened over the course of the day now...

lol, ur right, i shouldnt have sunken down to their level. But, you cant possibly consider my posts any more disrespectfull than what i was responding to. And if you truly had a better understand of the forums, you would take your own advice and just stay on topic, post your times. or post nothing? I'm just going to leave it at that. They were wrong in how they confronted me, and wont admit it. end of story. They should learn and stay on topic. And any concerns about my grammer should have Been PM'ed and written more respecfully. Respect is the issue here. If you want respect, show it. If you go out of your way to disrespect me, sometimes i return the favor. 👍

The only reason i can think of for people to post messeges like this is because they have many personal issues and vent by attacking people on this forums. It seems to be a very big problem here.

At the risk of continuing off topic. The mods have a job to do. They are considering readability of all post for all the people of all the many countries that hang out here and swap tales of all sorts.
1. It shouldn't be a hardship to proof-read what you type. It's bad enough that people all over the world refer to us as "rude, obnoxious Americans". Please don't perpetuate that sentiment.

2. I hope that I'm not being offensive. I am indeed doing my level best to be polite. Keep in mind that with so many people "shortcut" typing and "1337" speaking, the mods get tired of saying the same thing over and over to the same people. So, they may develop a tendency to be a bit "short" when having to impart the same thing to an "experienced" member. (who should know better)

3. As far as times, I don't have any. I find it entirely too frustrating to drive on sims for any length of time. I applaud those of you that rise to that challenge, and manage to look good doing it.👍
I may have to bite the bullet and give another shot in the future.

Typing like that does make you look like you're 11 (since you chose to make the obnoxious and whiny point about how your letters couldn't "sound" like anything).

Typing in shortcuts makes you look illiterate and lazy. In all seriousness: why would you choose to do that? And if you are too lazy to type carefully, how do you dare presume that we need to do the work for you and interepret your lazy writing?

For the record, if I do reply to topics, I do comment to other members who type like this. I could more easily have just locked it ansd left it to die. Or I could have deleted it... but I made the effort to put it in the right place. I made the further effort to try to help you look intelligent.

Looks like that was wasted effort, as you have shown in the rest of your replies here. The one with the attitude is you. Why should you expect the moderators to wipe your nose and follow you around picking up your dirty socks? We're not your mothers. I've got more important things to do, like discuss stabilizer settings with a couple of intelligent members in the "Settings" board.

Well. You could have said simply not to use any short ways of writing words. Instead of saying it made me appear 11. And if other members "attack" me, I have a right to "defend" myself. I wouldnt have minded a PM and I apreciated the moving of my thread, but i didnt like your attitide and how other members were jumping in to the fray.

Sorry for the "spankage" you had to endure.
Had you just said "mea culpa" and moved on with your life, this thread would have generated no further interest other than your original intent.
But in "defending" yourself, you "brought a cannon to a spit-ball fight". And people tend to side with the weilder of the spit-ball, in such situations. [heavy sarcasm]Especially, when they have the audacity and poor judgement to be right.[/heavy sarcasm]
You very well could have been the one to "increase the peace". One of the quickest ways to end a verbal confrontation is to give your confronter nowhere else to go.
With a simple "mea culpa" (or for those of you out in the 'hood, "my bad") there would have been no where else for anyone to go "ranking" on you without themselves looking foolish.
Then you really would have been the bigger man you referred to in the fifth post in this thread. So duke implied that you sound like you're 11 when you type in "short-speak". You don't have to act 11, and prove his point.

As far as "simply saying not to use use any short ways of writing words"...You did read, and accept responsibility for the content of the AUP when you signed up, so ignorance is not a valid defense.

But on the original topic you have piqued my curiosity/interest. Not many folks run on sims for times. They mostly use them to drift. I may have to get over my "decent grip" ways and run a car or two, if for nothing else to get this thread back on track.

This sounds like a challenge, I think I'll try a few laps tonight. I'm assuming normal OLR rules?
Are you planning on updating th efirst post with people's times? So I know how slow I am :)
 
Here's my first (probably pretty poor) attempt:

i dont like this at all, no sims for me, i had more fun drifting the long left hander, than trying to get a really fast time. all you do is drift, when your in a 620hp skyline with sims.
 
1:34.232 with a R34 with around 500 hp.Nice time Small Fryz can't come close to that with the Mines.
 
yeah the mines skyline was stock, but sim tires, jeez its hard, i might try the stock R34 with sims, see what i can get, it might also help with week 95 :p
 
i'll post my exact times soon after i've gotten a chance to gather all the other times and actually check on my PS2. But i got around a 1:31 with the mines skyline. and a 1:34 with the R34 stock.. but my time with the stock r34 doesnt make much since... does it?
