This is best, most delicious, and savory fast food sandwich EVER: Brisket, barbecue sauce, gouda cheese, and onion rings.

This sandwich made sweet love with my taste buds, called me the next day, and delivered flowers.

It's that awesome.

Go get one now, so it theoretically stays on their permanent menu forever.

Hell, go buy any Arby's, to keep them from going out of business.

There's precisely one within 25 miles of me, and only one in Hamilton. I swung by that one a few weeks ago and talked to the owner, and found out its the food costs that are killing them. I've never understood why they're so polarizing (see the infamous Simpsons quote).

Damnit, now I want one. The closest thing around here is Quiznos :(

The Arby's here sucks royally. I'd much prefer to have a Quizno's than that garbage. And for some reason I always, without fail, wind up with a stomache ache after eating there. So I stopped going.

Arbys is very good in our area. Quiznos is TERRIBLE IMO. I am actually surprised to see the word "Quiznos" mentioned in a thread. That's like hearing "Circuit City". I was pretty dang sure Quiznos announced it is eventually going out of business nationwide. All of the Quiznos shut down years ago in this area. I don't even think there are any left at all in Michigan but I am not sure. I avoid them. I will have to try this new Arbys burger sometime. I really like Arbys a lot more than any other fast food. Well besides Subway. You really cant top the $5.00 footlong that subway offers.

I love Arby's.

Let me rephrase that; I loooooooooooove Arby's.

I had one a few weeks ago. Very messy eating it at my desk, but good.

There was an Arby's in my town. It was so horrible and made so many people sick, they shut it down. Then, nobody would buy the building because they thought people would think it was Arby's. So, they tore the building down. Now, it's just a vacant lot.

So, I don't think I'll be trying it anytime soon. Plus, I'd just smoke my own brisket.

Arby's is THE BOMB son. I LOVE their Hawaiian roll sandwiches. However, the best thing-- the thing we go there for, specifically-- are the turnovers. DAMN, THEY GOOD! Chocolate, apple, or cherry turnover... Jamocha shake. MMM SON DAMN THAT GOOD.

$1 Chicken sandwiches are also pretty good. Never had the fries or anything. Should try them though. Everything is made fresh at the one by me.

I love the Arby's that's closest to me, it's one of two fast-food restaurants where the manager has actually gone around the place and asked how everything way(the other being Wendy's).

As for the sandwich, I haven't tried it yet, maybe I'll swing in there on my way to work one of these upcoming days.

When it comes to fast food, Arbys curly fries are THE best fries out there. You can even buy the Arbys curly fries at Meijer and Walmart. But they are the best directly from Arbys. As you said, nice and fresh daily.

I will be trying one of these new burgers by the end of the week for sure.

Loveeeeeeeeee Arby's lol. Expensive as hell though.

I agree on the curly fries. Best fries ever.

I've never had Arby's once in my life. I'm always under the impression they use sliced bread exclusively which never did appeal to me. I did have a look on their online menu and for the most part it's stacks of roast beef which still doesn't appeal to me. Especially when I'm hearing a few of you mention how expensive it is.

I'll have to try out these curly fries though. That certainly sounds like fun.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet. There's one about two miles away from school; I'll have to swing by and try one tomorrow.

I use to go to Arby's, but there's a Chick Fil A, Subway, McDonald's, and Burger King within a 2-10minute drive from me, so I rarely go there anymore since the extra 12 minutes worth of driving at minimum is enough for me to just stop somewhere closer for food.

Besides, the only one around here is in Glenn Burnie, which is filled to the brim with people who couldn't put a sandwich together to save their life.

These Brisket sandwiches are good. But Arby's in general is so freaking expensive to eat at for lunch. I once had their large beef and cheddar / curly fries / large Jamocha shake / cherry turnover ..... $14 and change. Huh !?!?!? Quickly learned that when going to Arby's, you look at the value menu before blurting out an order to the clerk.

But, yes, sometimes you gotta splurge, especially when it comes to these.

As some one else has said, Quiznos rocks, and it does not break the bank for lunch.

Quiznos is regularly $10+ for a good sub and drink/chip-or-cookie combo. The only way an Arby's combo can top that here is if you add all the paid extras to the most expensive sandwich, and upgrade to a shake and large fries (if they even have the shakes). I'll agree with them being more money than the average sandwich/burger place though, Five Guys excepted.

Oh yeah, Arby's has the best bacon and chicken fingers of any of the regular chains, too. Mmmmm, pepper.

I know, we know, they know...but this isn't the In-n-Out thread.

I love Arby's. I rarely go there(even though I'm a fast food junkie), but I'm rarely disappointed by them. I generally go for their rueben sammich, or deli fresh or whatever they call sandwich. I also love their horsey sauce, and Jamocha shake just might be my favorite shake now that everybody serves theirs with stupid(but I love SEPARATELY) whipped cream on top.

I will definitely try this new sandwich........ but if it's some regional special not offered in the North West, I'd be very upset Josh!!!

Social media attacks until satisfaction. Do letter-writing campaigns still work? It's hard to pay someone off with a tweet.

I'll have to track down an Arby's near me and try the Smokehouse Brisket.

Right now though I see Popeye's has crawfish again, so I'll be heading there first.

Looks good. Are Arby's really close to going out of business? I hadn't heard anything about that. I would be disappointed.

Arbys isn't close to going out of business, Quiznos is. Quiznos is currently the Circuit City of the food industry.

How important is the cheese? If I remove the bread and cheese this is doable on my diet. Bread is bread is bread on a sandwich (or so I must convince myself on my diet) but smoked Gouda could make or break this. At the same time, that much brisket, sauce, and onion strings could overpower the Gouda. I swear some of these place put cheese on things because they just think they should. And when its a fancy cheese like this its more about justifying a higher price.

After seeing this thread, I had to go get one for lunch today. And for Arby's, it was really, really good.

Also, I can't let this thread exist without a nod to the original sandwich that this is obviously trying to copy: The Z-Man sandwich at Oklahoma Joe's in Kansas City. If you're ever in KC, you simply must go get one. Arby's can't touch it.
