you have to own them first in GT mode, then they appear in the arcade mode.

There are numerous cars available from the start. But each new car you obtain in the Gran Turismo mode then becomes available in Arcade mode.

OK, this is embarrassing but I used cheats to get the gt mode cars and there are cars in my garage that are not available in arcade. Is that because I used the cheats? Also, can you not access your garage cars in arcade? Thanks!!!

theres about 100ish cars when you start and about 10/15 tracks. as you progress through GT mode you unlock tracks, and when you buy/win/steal a car it appears in arcade mode

edit: try driving the cars and see if they appear then. what a waste cheating

Thanks for the info, sorry about your feeling about cheating, I just don't have the patience to spend hours and hours driving cars that don't handle worth a **** to advance and unlock cars and tracks that I already paid for. Atleast they should let you access all cars and tracks in arcade mode. I paid the $50.00 for the whole game, I should get the whole game instantly if I choose so.

i guess, just when you can be arsed play it properly. its a rewarding experience (51% oh yes!)

To anyone who used a cheat to unlock cars in arcade mode for the USA version of GT4, how many total cars are available? I know its somewhere around 720, I just need to know the exact number.

No they don't appear after driving them in GT mode.

Im tipping your also the kind of person that buys the latest FPS game and finds the cheats for it straight away. Where is the fun in the games then??

I find that it is a much better gaming experience if you try to get through the various objectives in a game, than just using cheats to get everything, I mean if thats all you do then isnt it just a waste of money anyway!

agreed......i do not see the point in cheeting......if you dont have an hour spare for a race or two, what the hell do you do with the cars you cheat to get
