Arcade mode not functioning

So a while back, I need some space to download and install a new game on my ps3. I manually deleted all the update data for GT5 off my system. When I updated my game again to the latest version, all my car icons disappeared in GT academy and now whenever I go into arcade mode, after selecting a track the screen blacks out and goes back to the arcade mode main menu. Also in course maker, whenever I go test track, the screen blacks out doesn't load anything, so i need to exit the game and start again. I backed up my save file and deleted every GT5 file off my system reinstalled and updated. I created a new save file and everything was working perfectly again. I then put my old save file back on the system and launched with that and all the problems occurred with it. So there is obviously something wrong with the save file. My question is, is there any way to fix this? If not is there anyway to transfer all my cars, money and progress to another save file? Any help would be appreciated.

Delete and re-install the game data and updates. Then go to your garage and select "Create thumbnails for all cars" for your standard and premium cars. See if it helps, good luck.
