i think all the cars are on default dont think they have the upgrades you've done except the tires i guess.

please help with my question if anyone has an answer.

have a question. i am trying to set up a LAN with no internet. i got it to work once with the defaults, and i was able to. then i added some cars to my fav. and added maps on it, namely the Ring. and it worked once for two races on defaults then loaded up on the start line then i disconnected and wasnt able to get it to work. what am i doing wrong?

Alonso, you don't run your modified cars in Arcade anymore. Go into GT Mode and take your modified car to one of the green course icons around the outside of the main map: World Courses, City Courses, Dirt & Snow, etc. You can Practice (like Free Run), PhotoDrive, Track Meet (Free Run with other cars), or Family Cup (like Single Arcade Race), but not every event type is available for every track. You can change all your settings in these events. 👍

Yeah, one of my friends likes to play 2-player battle in split-screen (because we've never been able to get multiplayer to work on my LAN), and the cars just *suck* compared to how the drive after they have been tweaked.

Thing is, they appear to keep *some* of the upgrades, but not all of them! For example, they sure don't keep racing brakes - so my cars barely stop. They also *do not* keep tire upgrades. You can only choose racing tires if you choose a "race car" from your collection. NOS is available if you've added it, but, get this, it only works for player 1! Player 2 can't access NOS at all.

What were they thinking? It's really pretty bad because you get used to driving your car with certain characteristics, and then you try to race your buddies and the car drives completely differently. I've tried to minimize this by never using any driving nannies in GT mode, but it is still a major pain.

In short, there isn't anything you can do other than complain.

Hmm is this problem limited to NTSC or does PAL suffer it also? The only problem I've encountered in 2P mode with garage cars is the inability to use your driving aids settings (you can either choose ON or OFF, or if you don't know how to get it to work, NOTHING). I have tuned cars for 2P mode and I'm pretty sure all my tuning parts and settings were applied to the car.

Nope, but maybe a thread called 'arcade problem' isn't the best place to demand a solution to your LAN multiplayer problems...

LAN isnt in the Arcade mode? crap *shuffles through manual* i''m so confused. thanks for the heads up and being so helpful 👍

Honestly, I'm trying to point you in the right direction because I don't have an answer for you. I have not attempted LAN play, but the people in these threads have and they might have some sort of answer for you. I see you've actually posted your question in that last one, so why are you trying to take over this thread?
