Arcade Race Series: Week 1

Welcome to the first race in the Arcade Race Series!
The Arcade Race Series is a OLR series solely based on the Arcade cars of GT3. It focuses more on driver skill than on tuning ability. Replays are not required, but top times are strongly encouraged to include at least analyzer data.

The Track: Deep Forest
The Car: S-Class: C-West Razo Silvia or Super Autobacs MR-S
The Race: Free Run-Best Lap Time

Rules
1. Standard OLR rules apply, thus two tires on track at all times, no wall touches, and no cheating!
2. All T-times may be discussed in this thread but total lap times are to be kept under wraps.
3. All final times must be PM'd to me by the posted deadline.

Deadline: Tuesday, October 5th, 12:00AM Central Time

I'm in. Nice first race. 👍 And good timing. We sure need something to keep us sane this week. :lol:

Could we please have a schedule for this series. I don't need all the informations if you're still testing/considering, but something like:

Week 2: Rally.
Week 3: Tarmac.
etc.

would be very nice, so I know, what I really am entering here. Thanks. :)
 
Well for a schedule, the race will be weekly, and will have a Week 2 Rally, but car and track is not final. Week three is still undecided but will definantely be on the tarmac. Depending upon the participation we will have a week 4, and maybe more.

As for this weeks race, thanks for thumbs up NielsG! I think it will be a very close race between the two cars. There is a lot of time to be found on the track, but with the nature of the cars I expect very close racing. I've done a few laps and my best laps between the cars are between .2 with the MRS taking the edge. If I remember correctly, my T3 (might be T2) is in the low 53 area at the moment. I think at least .5 is still to come off.

New T3 best at 52.6. Not that much more to come off. It looks like the car I'm using has distanced itself from the other by a bit.
 
I'm at:

in the Autobacs. Didn't take many tries to decide that the West Razo Silvia can't keep up at all, although both cars handle very well in the Forest. So it's still all thumbs up, for this combo. :D
 
T1 24.641 T2 52.666 with the autobacs (2 months old) I shall try to improve myself otherwise I give the Silvia a go.
 
Looks like MIH is flying away with this one. Glad to see some new racers! Good luck all. No improvement here, but I'll be giving it another go fairly soon.

I've been getting very constant 52.6-7 at T2, but my T1 time is only around 24.5-7. I can't seem to find the line around the first turn. Any tips? :lol: Glad to see a bunch or racers, this looks like a popular combo.

There's a bit of time left to shave off, but I dunno if I'll get back to this race. Gotta Torc.
Best I could do with the Sylvia was 52.6, but I only did about 10 laps with that car.
 
Wow, some very good time there eggman. Looks like I'll have to give it another go to see if I can get close to the 51-52 barrier.

I have improved only marginally to 24.543-52.766.

:scared: Ah, figured you would show up, Ron, when you found out, that we have been promised some arcade rally next week. 👍 :D

Got it down to 52.527 and still a couple of tenth out there.
 
Uh oh, now we've got Mr P. too? Welcome to the race! I think the rally for week 2 will be something at Tahiti Curcuit 1 or 2. The car is between the Impreza Prototype, the Evo, or the Xzara.
 
Actually no, I'd love a suggestion. I can't decide on which one so any input from you guys would be much apreciated.
 
Ran a few in the autobacs, still one of the great cars in the game 👍

best save so far has 24.085 / 51.570 :)

@ the Circuit the Xsara is the king without a doubt. I wont be racing that as my momo has just been packed away! I am only ghosting this round as I was bored tonight and it was too tempting :D

I did some laps in my favourite arcade car the Apex: 24.148 - 51.756

Will try some more laps later :)
