in all seriousness are S rated driver the dirtiest….?

I started the week as an S rated driver and only a few minutes ago made it back to a B rated driver. Forget the badness with the penalty system, even as a c rated driver I was continually matched to S rated driver lobbies…. Without exception in every Daily Race C i have done this week my intention is to go clean and get back to being an S rated driver but in every race I ran I started with Hard tyres to go long but in every race I was pushed off the track, driven into, used as brakes for other car - I’m no saint far from it - but every hit I took was from S rated drivers, in exceptional circumstances a penalty was dished out but what’s the point of giving a 5 second pen when they cause 20 secs of damage to the driver they hit.

it made me laugh at the sharp right handed on to the main straight, one guy seeking revenge took out 5 cars…. 5 cars… the Racing side of the game is broken beyond repair for me, we all know how to push someone off the track without incurring penalties and we all do it so where do we go fron here

if the game had a penalty system that worked, that made people think twice then perhaps things would be better - we don’t and we never will as the developer can’t deliver one.. so what’s the point of being a B rated or S rated driver - there is no guarantee of higher morals in the racing the higher you go up the ladder. it makes the achievement of being S rated pointless.

Gran Turismo The Driving Simulator where you can’t actually Drive….. sums up the game perfectly to me

I’m no saint far from it -

If the only thing stopping you from hitting other people is some kind of working penalty system then you are a dirty driver.

I watch replay and see who is intentional or not piushing me around. IF they are intentional I call them out, if they keep denying they go onto my ram on site list.

That list has caused 5 people to quit now(or change their name), one to admit they were dirty and they wouldnt do it again, and another 1 to lose so much SR/SR against my smurf that I no longer race them on my main account.

If you make dirty driving not worth it, people will do it to you.

Glad you and your ram list aren’t in my region.

I am actually...... 2 account in the UK. One for racing and one for punting people who are are punters.

but why you only make if you drive dirty. Unintentional contact I never go after. I have even said in other threads here and reddit that most contact is not intentional and should not be punished by street justice.

you only really make the list if after I PM you basically tell me something like you were in my way, I do not slow down to avoid people or its just a game get over it. These people I will make an example of

If it happens every single race it's not them, it's you.

Tell me you’re a dirty driver, without telling me you’re a dirty driver…

have you ever raced me? If you are A or A+ in North America you most likely have. others on this board have raced me multiple time like Permaculturist.

I actually go out of way to race unknowns clean, its actually the reason I literally hunt down dirty drivers because its bothers me a ton.

Sending people messages saying they have to explain themselves or they’ll be added to your ram list isn’t rational. If you’re creating accounts and entering races for the sole reason of ramming them out the game I think you departed the rational world a long time ago.
the rational thing is to make ramming not pay off for them. The things the responses are 95 percent telling about how dirty they are.

after this and many collisions.

I literally went off track to give space though turn one expect space to be given back on the next right hander

Like this person^, literally said I was in the way and wasnt worth slowing down for, this person has since after a couple punt admitted they were a jerk and stop driving like this.

I’m sure we have. I personally don’t care how you drive, but ramming people on purpose, dirty driver or not, is dirty driving. So at the very least, admit to yourself that what your doing is no better than what they’ve done to you. Maybe you wouldn’t get rammed so much if you just kept your nose clean, and stayed away from the dirty drivers. Let them by, odds are they will make a mistake or crash someone else ahead, giving you free spots in the process. Use your brain, not your bumper.

Let them overtake you and punt someone else in front of you.
This "tuck your tail and let him go" sounds great in a perfect world where trolls aren't intentionally trying to force others off track in every corner, but it doesn't really work for some people in the real world who aren't content to let a-holes just walk all over them without repercussion.

Punters are totally deserving of someone they affected coming back at them, and I'm not sure why an egregiously unsportsmanlike person getting a taste of their own medicine is frowned upon.

That said, I have very rarely encountered people pointedly punting others, so this hasn't really been a problem for me, but I don't have any issue with someone who has been targeted paying the offender back.

I literally try to avoid people as much as possible. I would rather drive off the front if possible but I am new A+ driver and I can not qualify high all the time because I am not that good compared to the top split and I am still running into dirty and careless drivers at that level.

The thing is I tell people why they are being rammed and how to make it stop, only 5 percent of people will own up to it. I will fully admit to being as asshole to other assholes, but if you watch me race I literally try to race as clean as possible, I even give people the benefit of the doubt till I watch replays, if the replay shows otherwise I message them, ask them why and let their response dictate how to handle it. but yes I have gone and ruined dirty drivers races on purpose on my smurf accounts.

For the first couple months of sim racing I took the high road every single time but when one single driver caused to me to lose DR/SR back down to B/A I decided to make his life miserable. He is gone now, I outlasted him. He was intentional dirty and his name was Cowbunga!

Like I said, I don’t care how you drive, you do you. Just stop trying to justify ramming people, it’s just as dirty as what they did to you. That’s it, that’s all, happy punting. 🍻

Revenge punting in race is an emotional response and understandable if still wrong. Creating ram lists, sending unsolicited DMs asking for people to explain themselves and creating cross region accounts for the sole purpose of ramming people is deranged. Not to mention spamming Reddit links as some sort of justification of anything.

I am autistic and really have no emotion about any of this. In fact I never revenged punt a tap in the race. its not rational, most of the time it was probably a mistake. I have revenged punted one person in that same race and it was because he was intentional dirty. He even said as much in DMs afterwards. He had a 5 second penalty at Waktins Glen and decides to take me out before the line. I had no prior interaction.

Its really done in very matter of fact, this why I am doing this, and this how to make it stop. Most people would rather quit than to deal with it. My main account has had it best success(in DR) since I started doing this which says to me that rationally it is the best response. Think of it as porcupine response. If you never mess with me, my quills are no danger to you. Even if these drivers remain dirty, they do not remain dirty to me.

The reddit links were to show the board how far I would go to give the benefit of the doubt before adding someone to the list. If you would watch the video you would see that.

If you are in the NA and have notice that some dirty drivers are gone you really have me to thank for that. PD isnt doing ****. I also never ram someone first.

Maybe best you don’t play the game if this is how you’re approaching it.

Not hard to label someone as clean or dirty. Clean means always clean or at least trying. Dirty means intentionally ruining others races. Regardless of reasons. That is how most people will see an incident without context.

There's a reason the top drivers don't do this. Or in real life. They can't afford to. If you have time to play policeman. you have time to go faster.

Contact sucks. Accidents suck. It happens to everyone. Believing you have the authority to correct things is as delusional as dirty drivers thinking they are doing nothng wrong.

I'm sure if I were also dolling out vigilante "street justice", my DR would also see a benefit. After all, DR is gained by increasing your position on track by passing people, and every racer you "deal justice to" is a car passed, right?

again if you read my post contact that is accidental is not the problem, and I never go after that.

I have caused people to quit/change names so its not delusional. It has measurable difference on my DR after I started doing this.
I have more time, than they do, and I am more stubborn than them.

I race IRL as well and the big difference is IRL no one does intentional dirty things and if they do they get kicked out of the race. In fact I have raced, autocrossed and time trailed/HPDE for 23 years I have on been online racing for 6 months. Punting people in Nascar is super common for bad behavior. Although in my real life racing I have to much vested in my race cars to risk it for minor reasons or any reason really.

I'm sure if I were also dolling out vigilante "street justice", my DR would also see a benefit. After all, DR is gained by increasing your position on track by passing people, and every racer you "deal justice to" is a car passed, right?
you are clearly not reading any of my post or are misrepresenting to fit your narrative.

I never retaliate that race. I drive ultra clean when among unknowns or clean known drivers.

To make my list

you have to be intentionally dirty usually multiple times
you have to double down in DM and basically tell me you are dirty
then you have to keep doing it.

I also use multiple smurf accounts do deal out the justice. I never use my main account. The benefit if from telling people I am punting who I am how to make it stop. This also mean I can get them off guard many times even though I tell them at the end why I punted them. if they say they are sorry and say they will not do again they get off the list. Some people quit, them quitting is fine by me.

Maybe best you don’t play the game if this is how you’re approaching it.
why? I race IRL and love playing this game. I just wish people would be cleaner. I tried to drive cleanly against dirty drivers for months, now I am actually effecting change in how people treat me.

It was same thing in high school I was bullied relentlessly many kids, I told a kid that if he pushed me one more time I would send him to the hospital. Kid pushed me, I broke his ribs, wrist, and knocked him out. I did not want to do it but not a single kid bullied me after that day.

The entire point is to make dirty driving have no reward for those are starting it and to keep driving ultra clean to those that try to do the same realizing everyone makes mistakes.

So you're a bully.

If someone unintentionally makes contact with you, say they miss their braking point and don't know enough about etiquette to give the position back, you harrass them via DM. If they're prone to subordination or don't like confrontation, they apologize despite not really knowing why it matters and you leave them alone. If they're stubborn and don't take well to harrassment, they don't apologize and you continue to bully them.

Nice.

again. I can tell mistakes from intentional or intentional careless to the point of harm to others.

I assure you the people I am harasssing did this intentionally, and normally not just to me. Are you the WorldisFlat?
