I just took out my fully tuned Audi R8 on some professional events and was normally destroying competition (a little lame, I know), but when I had a 6-7 sec advantage on high speed ring, and other cars couldnt even compete on daytona.
But on Nurburgring, a couple of McLaren F1 94' were really fast. I was able to beat them by managing to get in front and winning on purely brute force on straights, but they were really good and could stay ahead of me without too much burden.

So.. this might be silly, but I started to wonder... Are the opponents cars stock or tuned?
Because even in other events, like the Yaris race, they seemed to be way faster than me on straights, for example.

Well they're not entirely stock, because they always pulled away from my stock Yaris at race start. Noticed this on various other races as well.
Also, I think I've seen similar cars in the 'expected competition' list with variations in HP and weight.

There you go I've searched rather than create a new thread.

So do we all agree that the AI cars are not all bone stock?

What about the transmission settings, do we know about those?

No, they aren't stock, not everytime at least, and we don't know much about how these cars are tuned but we have the expected competitors thing with hp and weight values, so when you are looking for decent run, not destroying competition you just need to match the opponent performance or something a little bit slower.
