I have been looking around for a new controller for my PS3 does any one know of a better one or should I just stick with the DS3. Im not looking for a wheel at the moment. Any suggestions gratefully received Thank You

I don't know any other "controller" other than a DS3.

Before getting a wheel, I used a HKS Racing Controller. It is really sensitive and there is enough USB cable so even if it is not wireless you can walk around with it.

The HKS is a great controller. The steering dial is quite precise. The "gas" and "brake" buttons are similar to triggers, but they offer a lot more resistance. They work well and are easy to modulate but I get a bit of sore thumb when using them for a long time. If you're not in a position to use a wheel, I think this is a better steering controller than the DS3.

Hey thanks for the reply. Do you use one of these do the buttons have a long movement to them and how easy did you find it getting used to the little wheel

I don't have one sorry, just seen them online a while back, and thought it would make a good back up if my wheel died. The Gamesmen here in Australia currently have it on sale here. Hope that helps, oh and I think VVV done a review on it a year or two back, worth a look on youtube.

Wow, this actually looks like it could be really good for racing. Certainly a better option than the standard controller. Good choice for those who don't have enough space for a wheel. Maybe this is what the fastest pad users get their times with?

DS2 for PS2 with USB Adapter beats all other controller including the HKS and DS3. It has much better face buttons input range - if you ever played Ace Combat 5 on PS2, pressing square for map zoom, that much pressure range is available for braking and gas - about 3 times more than DS3. Highly accurate which makes no brake assist driving ( ABS 0 ) possible, no need for gas/brake using shoulder button, ever and you can use the R2 or L2 for left foot braking ( secondary brake with high accuracy )
