Are there any "in-car" tuning options???

I'm seriously praying for the ability to change tunes much easier than the all the previous games. To have to exit the track, goto the pit and then go through the gyrations of tuning was soooo annoying, time consuming and most of all, totally unnecessary.

WE should be able to change most settings while IN THE CAR. Settings like traction control, abs and stability control shouldn't require the efforts in the past. While I rarely use those aids, some could be helpful if variables change. Even ride height, dampers and the rest of suspension settings should be made easier to adjust.

Does anyone know if this is possible? Any time savers that can be added to this game would be helpful.

I know in the demo there were options to control traction control and brake balance via in-car options. Not sure if this has been transferred to the full game though. Won't get to try it until Sunday.

There are some in-car changes that can be made. Fuel mixture and TCS I know are 2 of them.

Fuel Mixture, Traction Control, Torque Distribution, and Brake Balance can be changed while in car. That may be all, I have not digged deep enough to see if there are any other adjustments.

I just read the tuning guide (7 pages) and none of this is mentioned. It should be in there.

I only noticed the options because a test or a mission required you to lean your fuel. It is there however, perhaps someone out there has a video of using that menu whilst driving something to show the curious.

I believe the fuel mixture adjustment only works when fuel consumption is turned on. The adjustment lets you set the mixture to "power" or "lean". I didnt mess with the settings too much so I cant give the specifics on how it works.

That is exactly how it works, 5 or 6 settings.

In default view with standard controls the d-pad L/R cycles through the available adjustments in the HUD and d-pad U/D makes the adjustment. I've used it in challenges to move the brake balance rearwards so the front would turn better under braking.

You can tune (with D-Pad, left-right scroll between map, radar, timing, tune on the HUD, up-down change settings):
TCS
Brake Balance
and also:
Torque Distribution (just for 4wd cars, obviously)
Engine Mapping/Fuel Mixture (only when fuel comsuption is a factor)

Thank you all for your responses. Still haven't made the purchase yet, but I'm still doing my research. It would be nice to know if all the licenses and garage progress will roll into GT7 when it comes out. I would hate to achieve gold in all the licenses and spend hours tuning the dozens of cars I buy/win only to have to go back to ground zero when the new game comes out. I don't have the time like I used to.

PD has said you can call Sport 7 if you want. It's a full game. Sport instead of 7 since it has a new Sport mode. Similar to the Quick Matches in 6. I think moving away from numbers is a good thing. Think of Call Of Duty. Names not numbers. A name keeps it fresh as opposed to Call Of Duty 11. Makes it sound like the same old thing 11 times now.
