I think it's the other way around also - people use caffeine to be energised - and people are never wrong!

I look at it this way - every kilogram less I have to drag over 42km in September is a good thing...

Whoa! That's 26 units of a normal measurement system! You're a better person than I am (especially physically) if you're able to finish (start, too) that run.

I only wake up early for something important. *like fishing in SC before it hits 95 degrees by 10:00 A.M.;) :D * Any other time i'm usually half dead.:p

I'm becoming more of a morning person. I'm at work at around 8:30 normally, which means getting up at 7. At weekends, I tend to wake up naturally at about 9, and I'll get up and do normal weekend chores like washing and making bread (sorry Vat!!!) while the wife sleeps. She'll sleep until about 12, by which time I've done a couple of hours of serious web development. It's a routine that's working well for me at the moment.

I'm definitely sharper and more motivated in the morning, but it's hard to get up. I'm tempted to stay in bed every day. Too bad it all goes to waste at work. I get up at five weekdays and maybe seven on weekends.

Giles, I smash my head on the desk wrestling with syntax errors and wondering how a database works where you do web development.

my sleep schedule got all messed up ever since the golf season started up again this year...

During school, I had a consistant sleep pattern, go to bed at 11, wake up ate 6.30 or so, then weekends I'd go to bed around 12.00 and wake up around 9.00. Now I'm tired by around 10.30 or so, then wake up by 7.00. As you can tell, this really sucks, socially...

When I think of how little sleep I used to get it's hard to believe. I used to sleep maybe five hours a night, max. Now I absolutely need six or I can really tell the next day.

I got about 4 - 5 hours sleep last night and worked 9 - 10 hours in the brutal heat. I don't feel tired. I'm amazing.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go pack my bags.

Used to be a morning person, now...not so much. I've said to have changed, according to what I tell myself. Everyone else, still agrees that I'm much too chipper for the morning.

I seem to be a morning person...

A lot of times I go to bed at like 2-3AM, and I will wake up sometimes as early as 7:30, and usually up by 9:30. My bro will sometimes go to bed at 1AM, and not wake up till 1pm. I can't do that.

Though while I wake up kinda early(for not having a job or anything to do), I only sometimes am ready to do something. Usually I mope around all morning on the computer or watching TV, and then I'll be ready for action in the afternoon.

I love mornings. It's about the only time I can be alone. I also love go out on the deck with a cup of coffee and watching the sun come up.Not to mention getting on line and checking out this forum. Up by 5:30 every day including weekends.

I am certainly not a morning person. During the summer I can hardly drag myself out of bed and walk about 5 feet into the living room only to lay down again on the couch and watch some T.V or play GT3. It takes me about an hour after I actually wake up to be able to function properly.
I am EXACTLY the same.

I can't function in the morning. I'll get up, bleary eyed, make a coffee, and sit down to watch the last hour of Sunrise (Aussie news show). Then I'll take a book, go back to bed, and read for an hour. THEN I'm ready for GT3.

I phear the day I have to start work at 8:00AM every weekday... :(

My "biological clock" operates on a 30-hour basis, meaning my unconcious/concious ratio always falls in different places during a 24-hour day. I can get up whenever I've had at least 4 hours of sleep, whenever that is. If it happens to be at 4:30 am, I can wake up then. I won't like it, but I can. I can wake up plausibly after like 7 hours.

In the past 2 days, I've slept for a total of 23 hours. Summer is awesome.
