Spa for me got boring about a week after. Same goes for SSRX. The cars were only entertaining for about a day of driving them.

SSRX was boring before i drove it .. so i didnt buy it .
But Spa is great and i love the DLC paints.

I like the DLC. I find route x boring apart from online X2011 500MPH runs! Spa is really good! The car packs are pretty awesome as well. Especially the Racing Car Pack, i love the TC's! As for the Aventador etc. They are all really good as well! The Scirocco R is really fast. Correctly tuned, it can beat Stock Mclaren F1's and Veyrons around a track! I personally would recommend you get them if you have the money!

Back in the previous GT's, the Test Course was used as a race track. The "races" weren't entertaining at all, or fun. Neither is SSRX for racing.

Tell me about it.

There were a couple of Test Course races in GT1/GT2, but GT3 went overboard. You had to do several 10 lap races around Test Course in the Pro Series if you wanted to complete the game. One of those races you even had to do in a Yaris/Vitz. I'm dead serious...

To me, the only pack I found worth it was the first pack with spa and kart space, TC Cars, and paint. All came as a bundle. The car packs that's came out after didn't really appleal to me, I'm not a fan of those cars.

That yaris race was the last time I raced on an oval.
That one event turned me off turning left forever.

GT3 and 4 were easily the 2 best ones of the series. 4 was great but 3 was the best. In comparison, GT5 sucks compared to 4. And that shows you how great 3 was. Follow me?

I follow you. I may be going down to my local exchange store and picking up a PS2 and GT4 and 3 over the holidays.

GT4 was amazing. The ONLY thing you'll miss is more than 6 cars on a track at once. Other than that the home screens, driving, and set-up is way better. But that's my two cents.

Well, from the top of my head regarding GT3:

- Cars don't have ridiculous prices. The most expensive cars just cost a million credits or so.

- It has WAY more events than GT5.

- A lot of the cars can be upgraded to be more powerful than they are in GT5. For example, a Dodge Viper GTS in GT3 can reach 1000+ HP. The Viper GTS in GT5 can only reach 800+.

- You can put different rims on race cars.

But to keep things on topic:

DLC 1: My favorite pack so far. I love the TCs the most. I'm a sucker for race cars. And Spa is awesome. I also bought the complete pack, so I enjoyed using some of the paint and racing suits as well.

DLC 2: Passed on this one. Wasn't interested in a newer year GT-R and Mini Cooper. The Volkswagens didn't excite me either.

DLC 3: This one is pretty good. I enjoyed testing cars on Route X. I liked the choices of cars in this pack too, except for the Mini Countryman (which is sadly the FWD model) and Nissan Leaf.

I had the opportunity to pick up 3 back a few years ago. I regret not getting it. If you get 4 be extremely carful not to get ANY scratches on it. What happens is there is a little white spinner underneath the GT logo when it's loading. If it goes red you can forget your GT ever working normally ever again. It won't load. Ever. It's a common issue and there is no workaround except getting another disc.

FYI - The Viper GTS has 992hp, you can't have the GTS out powering the ACR can you??

GT3-GT4 was/is booty compared to GT5 plain and simple, its like trying to justify your love for an old ugly 49 year old women, I'll take the 25 year old babe

Anyway, I bought all DLC so far eventhough I did not like the cars.

-Spa is cool but I don't use it anymore
-I never use the TC cars, don't care for them
-Stage X is nice. Great for drag racing the 3K

GT3 and GT4 may be that "old" woman that was young at one time but she still has that great personality that I'm fond of and makes me want to come back. And by personality, I mean their gameplay structure and replay value.

And sure, GT5 may be young and beautiful with the physics and graphics (for now) but the more I try to get to know her, the more shallow and superficial I find her. I just lose interest and look elsewhere. And I know one day she'll end up like that same old woman, but in worse shape.

That's just how I see things anyway.

Another way of looking at the GT3/4 vs GT5 case.

"She may be older, but still knows how to give you a good time. She only needs you and herself to make a good night of fun. She is the complete package, just take good care of her. She's also got much more power then her younger counterparts and gives you a much better choice in what you want to do with her.
These younger models are rather more delicate. Suggest a change of one tiny detail and you'll end up with a whole heap of other problems thrown at you in place of the one you mentioned. They rely on the internet too much, often have breakdowns for no obvious reasons, and their sense of fun normally involves you opening your wallet for superficial goods."

That said, I have bought all the DLC's so far, aside from the stupid cars I'm quite pleased with what's come through so far.
