I may be a collector but I still plan on driving most of my cars, regardless if they are brand new or not. I just have a few 0/0/0 cars on a alternate account so I can use them for trades.
leeson65I drive the crap out of every car I have, no holding back! It's a game, it's supposed to be fun!
ZR1fan
I find in particular that i grow attached to one car out of a fleet, like for me there will always be this one car that feels different from the others, like for instance out of my 6 LP670s i like my oldest, a white example, best, a scenario being a hotlap around trial mountain, cant drop below 1:30 on sport softs with any of the other newer LP670s, but with this one, i can crack deep into the 1:28s, and once i pulled a 1:28.274 or 1:27.274 out of it (cant remember which) out of it, it is a completely stock car except for the sport softs. Or another example, i have about 13 or 14 seperate ZR1s, but my favorite one is the red one, the one i bought 3rd or 4th, does anyone else get these connections with one particular car out of a batch of several identical ones? Before anyone flames me, i really have nothing better to do with the money, i bought everything i like, so i just buy the colors i like nowadays.
I get attached to certain cars like you but my laptimes are the same if the setup is, I still put loads of miles on them.
BTW I think the ZR1 is the best US car on the game and definitley under used in my garage.
Cars are made for driving.
My dlc cars I have 2 of each, minus chrome & stealth.
I don't know why I do that tho. Could be that having one totally in stock form incase I want to run a race online with stock cars maybe.
And then the other tuned car can be used for anything really.
Basically if I don't want to use a new car I buy 2.
Um....isn't the whole point of this game to drive the cars? It is afterall a driving simulator. If they wanted you to just drool over the cars..the game would come with a bottle of hand lotion and a box of tissue.Hey guys, I seem to have a problem with driving new cars. When I acquire a brand new car with 0/0/0 I do not touch it AT ALL. This is really infuriating because there are cars I'm dying to drive like the F40. Is there a way to turn off the auto-save feature? Also if I drive the car so much as 0.1 mile and don't hit anything I am asked to pay huge amounts for the Chassis stability thing, shouldn't that pop up after long racing use like the engine rebuild?

SuperDiscoDazI have to agree with all those saying its daft not to drive new cars. I'm pretty sure the slogan for the game is "the real driving simulator". So to all those who are scared to drive a new car get on track and drive it like you stole it.
New Game concept:
"Gran Carshow 5: The real showroom simulator"![]()
doctorrgThat's right, it's a game, and it's supposed to be fun. Oddly enough, though, what's fun seems to be different for different people. For some, I guess, it would be fun whacking a rare unused stamp on an envelope to send off, after all, it's a stamp, it was meant to be used for sending mail. Others, on the other hand, would find absolutely nothing fun about it. In general, I do agree though, it's a game, and it's supposed to be fun.![]()
SuperDiscoDazHaha that's about right and to win a new car in Gran Carshow you have to look at your current car for an hour.![]()
A stamp is real, the cars in this game are not!
They aren't any less real but what's the point in buying something if you aren't gonna use it
calan_svci'm sorry, but this is one of the most ridiculous things that i see mentioned every now and then.
Just so i have it straight... You're afraid to drive a cartoon car in a video game for fear of putting miles on it? Are you afraid it's going to cause the car to go down in value or something?
i guess this is a true testament as to how far away from a driving/racing game that gt has gone.
