Just a random poll to see if the general user here is happy with the latest patch.

They haven't fixed everything, and there's still a few things we'd all like to see, but on the whole I think this patch has totally changed the game, for the better, and would definitely like to see 1.07 improve upon this.

So, on the whole, are you happy with PD's latest update for GT5?

Also, reasons for your choice would be nice too :)

I don't know yet. In general the additions seem to be good, but some of them seem to still need some adjusting and some seem to have implications that aren't really clear yet.

I don't see how you could be unhappy with the fact that they are making the game better. I know that PD haven't fixed everything and there are some things that I would of really liked but it is better then nothing and if you keep complaining PD will start doing nothing.

The tick by the cars you have already ... FTW 👍

That's probably one of simplest, yet best thing PD changed in the patch. 👍

I think it's a great update and the addition of the Remote Races is very cool. However.., this update (when more closely scrutinized) has features that could or should have been implemented some time ago.

It's the "patch anticipation" game that developers use to "re-new" interest in the title I guess. Most of the developers use this practice to "re-introduce" features that have always been planned., but were often held back to meet a release date. You then get those features in a later patch (thus getting the game that was most often "intended" for the initial release).

Still gotta give it to PD though. This new patch has clearly re-newed interest for players that felt the game was getting stale.

If they keep this monthly or even bi-monthly update thing up it will be a even more stunning game in 6 months.

It's a good update, just like 1.05, but I still don't see myself playing GT5 that much. I'm waiting for matchmaking at least. Hopefully, it'll come soon and I'll play GT5 more often.

I'm hoping that a patch update eventually adds the ability to earn credits in Arcade Mode. It'd be nice to make a specific number of credits based on your difficulty level and number of laps run (This is how the PSP version works).

Not being unhappy. Just saying that it's too early to say on basis of only a half day of playing it.

I was unhappy at first when I felt that the FFB with my G25 isn't quite as powerful as it did prior to the patch. I even deleted and reinstall the game. Perhaps I jumped the gun because right now after doing number of laps at various tracks in various cars, the FFB is either the same and if there's a difference, it's actually feeling better.

And I love the power restrictor and regardless of the level of implementation at least allows me to bring the RM ZR1 close to performance spec of the C6.RGT2 (along with the weight ballast).

It still lacks many features and many tracks , Endurance races saving, replay's have no fast forward or rewind, B-Spec driver able to transfer to A-Spec on Endurance races, Lack of Rally events. Lots of things other GT games had this one simple excludes. I thought games were suppose to progress not regress. The game to claims to be in HD and yet more than 80% of the cars are standard cars and look blotchy. I could go on all day with what it misses.
The AI seem to be drugged and doppy. When will they make this long awaited game to the stipulations it claims to be.

Great update but they need to give a big jump in credits to buy the big dollar cars. Once you get to level 30 who cares about exp points? The best races are in the arcade. Sick of grinding!

Pretty happy with it, but i expected the function to save in game during endurance races.

i like how they fixed the PIT.. now you can see them at work. also the improvements to the graphics are great

I enjoyed it very much. I didn't get to use all the new features yet but I will soon.

So far so good. The additions of ballast and fully adjustable gear ratios are very welcome.

👍

The AI feels a little tighter which is a good thing and lots of other small but needed improvements such as flagging which cars you already own in the dealerships.

What has annoyed me is that they have changed some races in A-Spec from standing starts to rolling starts. I like standing starts. I like the art of trying to weave through as many cars as possible before the first corner. Rolling starts just aren't as fun. I wish there was an option to choose in off-line races.

Happy enough I'll take back half the bad things I've said about GT5... but there's still B-spec 👎

happy with it. the only bad thing is the save function is still missing.

Does this paragraph getcopied and pasted around because its like the 10th time ive seen it now ... the standars cars are not "blotchy" get a HD TV and you will have HD PICTURE .... cant make anyone happy here

love it! it really seems like they would listen to the gamers and improve it one step at a time.

A solid improvement.

I was very pleased when I read all the features of the new update but since updating I no longer have a working clutch pedal which outweighs all the good points. If you can't drive a car properly then what good are the updates.

I truly love that I can now see which car I have already bought:dunce:

Individual gear change alone is enough to make me vote YES to the poll!

Are blocky shadows fixed? Otherwise I can't be happy...I just love the cockpit view too much!

Wish they would implement random weather/day-night right across the game and not just in a few races , and tell the A1`s that they are in a race and that the idea is to win, I weight my car up and lower the power and yet I still end up with a 20 sec lead after the first couple of laps , please give the A1s a will to win.

But on the whole I love the game and the lastest update is great .
