Like the title suggests. Don't care if it's unintentional or not. The reason why mate: I got this nice little message when I went to go to a different page on GTP so I grabbed a little print screen for you and showing it right now.

So I read into it and got info for publimatic.com from the google safe browsing page, here's what it read:

So, what's up with the spyware??

It's in the GT4 Tuning forum daan. The thread in question is amartya's "Modern Classics Garage" thread.

Hope that info helps you guys eliminate it. 👍

Sorry if I seem aggressive. 1st post to look at in the morning and I'm like WTF at the computer more, not you guys. :)

The post I posted in my previous post is the one causing you the problem and it's from the same thread.

I'm not seeing where your confusion is. We're on the same page.

Sorry daan, like I said before I just woke up so I misread what you wrote. :) A caffeine hit helped the brain work it out after reading it again. :p

It's weird that it's happening from different sources. I'll restart the browser and see how I go there. And BTW, I'm using Chrome like most of the others. 👍

You might aswell close this thread or merge it with the other one mate.

Google diagnostics has been inaccurate in the past, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Last January, another forum I used to go to had the same warning. The telltale signs were shown when I looked in my history and another site was popping up in the same window quickly before fowarding me to the link i clicked on.

On the other hand, I might not be seeing it because i have a mac.

Well, "mate", as daan has already pointed out, the image of the silver Evo V posted by amartya was hosted on publimatic.com. I looked in to Publimatic, and it appears to be a simple file hosting service - kind of like a pay version of ImageShack (my guess is that it's been abused in the past by malware authors who took advantage of the cheap service to host their files). When your browser loaded the page, it caught the reference to the image and displayed the warning to you. I'm not sure if you are aware of how web pages work, but as long as forum users can post inline images (and Google maintains Chrome's over-zealous policy of not distinguishing image references from executable files), the possibility of a user getting this message while browsing GTPlanet - or any legitimate site - exists.

Neither you nor any GTPlanet visitor was ever at any security risk by loading that page or image. Regardless, I have uploaded the file in question to ImageShack and edited amartya's post, so you nor anyone else will see the warning on that page again.

On the other hand, I might not be seeing it because i have a mac.
Google's Chrome browser is the only one that will show that warning message on the entire page if it references an image hosted on a site that has been declared "unsecure". Firefox displays the image without warning as there is no inherent security risk.

No, but he does use keyloggers to get your bank details. Quite frankly I was shocked to see several bills for Viagra turn up, but deep down I knew I was helping Jordan.

Support GTP!

With the amount of Vigra being sold, there's not much need for extra support.

I couldnt post this earlier, but i was visiting the forum index page on thursday and got a malware warning from my SUPER Anti Spyware (exploit), only happend once but i thought i should post it though.
