Are you supposed to never crash?

I crashed 1 time on the first corner, quit, and went to look at my car in the auto shop or whatever it's called and I had a bill under chassis maintenance for $113,000 dollars. That's more than half of the cars value. That's all of my money for 1 crash that the AI caused.

Honestly, is my car going to handle poor now?

Edit, I just saw the thread that says it does affect handling and performance. This game is blowing me away.

The chassis maintenance is a fixed price based on the in-game retail value of your car.

You don't need to do the maintenance every time it's available - do it at 1000 miles

No you don`t have to spent that money, i never did that on any of my cars and they drive just fine. I guess this function was supposed to work with damage model which is still missing. I am lvl 22 now and all i can see are some scratches after a crash with 300km/h.

Maybe it will slightly improve handling i never used that button ^^

chassis maintenance isn't for damage repair from crashes but more like damage-over-time. damage as of now is only cosmetic. damage don't carry over from race-to-race, it gets repaired after every race, and damage doesn't affect performance.
