Ok they look sound an smell the same but the atenza has 9000rpm an mazda 6 only 8000 so is the atenza the better car then or no difference worth noting any ideas anyone?

The Atenza is a bit slower compared to the Mazda 6, according to specs. If you have both, though, you can test them out on trials to see if they're different.

They are slightly different.

My Mazda Atenza after rebuild:

MAZDA Atenza Touring Car

TQ 189 @ 7500
4WD
Length 4670
Width 1780
Height 1435
Weight 1070kg
L4 DOHC
NA
Power to weight 3.38

My Mazda6 after rebuild:

MAZDA Mazda6 Touring Car
Standard
HP 320 @ 8000
TQ 218 @ 6500

One is Left Hand Drive, the other Right Hand Drive.

one's mazda the other is toyota
SOLVED!

Is this right? Wikipedia (:P) says that the Mazda 6 is called the Mazda Atenza in Japan (link).

Not quite. There is a Toyota ALTEZZA Touring car. The Mazda Atenza and Mazda 6 are the same car, so their touring car equivalents should be the same. However the Opel touring cars have less power than their (fictional) Vauxhall counterparts so I think this is the same thing.

Just another case of same car, different livery to expand the car list.

Yes they are... same piece of crap, different name... :grumpy:

Not even different livery, same number & everything
