Stupid Photoshop has decided to annoy me by not allowing me to save using the Save for Web option. I adjust my compession settings and hit Save, but get the following:

I've uninstalled Photoshop and then reinstalled, but still got the problem. I even went as far as uninstalling then using a registry cleaner to clean out any invalid Photoshop keys.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Solutions

1. Make sure the image is in the RGB color space.
The saveOptimized command only works on images in the RGB color space. Check the image you loaded in Photoshop or Illustrator to see if it's RGB or CMYK. If it's CMYK, convert it in Photoshop or Illustrator or use the convertProfile command to convert it to RGB before using the saveOptimized command.

I found the answer myself. Finding it after re-digging through the adobe forums website.
Just deleted HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Save For Web 3.0 and now everything's fine.

Neither seem that helpful sorry, but it's the best i could find
