Hey do you mean on the virtual HUD or the in game cockpit?

If its in the cockpit and its pointed to one side of the car I believe it indicates to which side the fuel cap is.

Are you using a electric car? The Tesla has red and white arrows above the gauge. If that is what you are talking about I think red means you are draining the battery and white is while it's charging while braking.

only just noticed that the bars next to it actually looks like battery
and i was using acura dn-x concept - I suppose its a hybrid
