So I woke early this morning around 5 and I decided to try to do the WC before I had to leave to go to work. Thanks to @RCKakashi14 I decided to use the base Hyundai VGT at the Gr.1 race. It's a great car and surprisingly the the battery has great life. I got to the end of lap 7 I was in 4th and the rain started. Unfortunately I never bought rain tires so I decided to pit and switch a new set of RH tires and hope for the best. Weellllllll that didn't happen got the yellow color on the map so I was done. 4th place would have been the best I could do so I quit. I wasn't able to go back because my time was short so I took the CX to Sardegna to smash that race.

Hopefully I will finish the other two races later. After the Gr.1 race I did buy wets but I know just because I bought them it won't rain next time. I need to test out some other EVs in fuel consumption races and see how they do. If they can be competitive with their gas counterparts I might use them more often

Sunday Cup: Suzuki Swift Sport. Fun to give this a go again, that Rav4 was just not cutting it.
Japanese Clubman Cup 550: Toyota 2000GT. Abit of work but fun.
Evolution Meeting: Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IV Tommi Makinen Edition. Pretty much just sent it.
World Touring Car 900: Honda NSX Concept GT. As you were.
Toyota Supra One Make: Had to do this on Easy as I just was not staying up to work hard for it with the appointment I had next day

WTC900-I thought I could use the same car I used last time I won this race handily (McLaren VGT) but looks like the updates in between messed it up. Ended up third. So had a go again this time in the 787B. Spun out at the first turn (misjudged that hairpin) but decided to continue. Played around with FM so I wouldn't have to pit. Was in 4th by the last three laps. Then the top three pitted after 9 and I took over the lead. Won by around 7 seconds.
Supra race was in my go-to 700ish hp Supra on RS. A handful as always but an easy win. Took the lead at the end of the third lap.
EVO rally in the same car I had won this before. Easy 30 second win.
Laguna Seca and the Sunday Cup was in a car i had just engine swapped. Silvia with an SR20DET. Very lightly modded on SS. Easy wins in both races.

The slowest race this week, wound up being the most fun, and probably the closest finish, I've had.

Haven't used my "budget racer" in a long time. Quickly reminded of how good it is, for a relatively low PP car.

Another nail biter in the Supra race. Didn't quite have the top speed of the AI, but fortunately, they are slow in the turns.

Dusted off another old timer. Plenty fast, but definitely had to be careful with the throttle. No stop on RH tires.

Asked the same question here couple of week of weeks ago.
Base version seems to be faster, lighter, and more fuel efficient. I can confirm the last one.
Been using the gr1 version as well but now have switched to base version ;)

EDIT: Also said to have less tire wear due to lighter weight, but I haven't checked that myself.
You have right , i can confirm solo VGT LM55 is faster and more economical than VGT gr1 .
Try tem both and gr1 need refueling even on FM6 unless you're cruising for the last laps .

Other than that ,i took 3 CRB loosing the.....first one ( i know you don't believe it 🤣) and the dirt of course even if i try it two times .
The second time i use a stock 9something EVO with only dirt tyres on , so actually isn't that hard at least on normal level that i use .

Also lost CRB at Laguna but that's due to rush hour .
Trying a stock BRZ on SS tyres end up second with CRB and first without it ,,,🧐
About Supra's i don't have any comments except bye-bye .
@RCKakashi14 have right about N VGT Electric, his battery really performs well and of course ill steal his livery also .

Good health is a treasure, guys - believe me I know what I'm talking about ! So first of all thanks to @rheinaoi for wishing me the best recently and a "get well soon" to @snowman_pr ...
I'm feeling a little better now and I enjoyed this weeks races, funny that some things went quite different than expected.
While I roughly spent about 20 minutes at Nürburgring, Colorado Springs and Monza each, I did about a dozen races at Laguna Seca and spent 3 hours at Sardegna searching for the perfect race in the most lame car I drove in a long time. Please don't ask why. :lol: And ... having been totally convinced that the LM55 VGT Gr.1 is the better choice I now drive the 8 gear original : The times they are a-changing !

Anyway, here's my "RJ's Recent Racing Basics" :

1 - Part of good race craft is never give up !

With a new Nations Cup season upon us, my focus has been mainly on that recently. I did manage to squeeze some time in this week's challenges last night (hard difficulty, except for the Supra race).

Saradegna - Mazda Atenza Sedan XD L Package '15 - This was the hardest race of the week for me. I tried a couple times on the stock CM tires, but could only manage P4. Upgraded to SS tire, but I that only got me a P2. Good enough for the first ticket.

Laguna Seca - Mazda Atenza Gr.3 Road Car - Didn't modify the car at all, since it was already over the suggested PP. It was definitely a handful on the stock SH tires. Good for a win, though.

Monza - Toyota Supra RZ '97 - I upgraded this car to over 700PP -- including RS tires and mid-RPM turbo -- but I was barely keeping up with the cars ahead. I didn't want to spend any more time tinkering with the setup, so I decided to lower the difficulty to normal. That brought the leaders within reach. Second ticket obtained.

Colorado Springs - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR T.M. SCP '99 - Some dirty driving in the dirt. Good fun.

Nurburgring - Lexus RC F GT500 '16 - I ran a 6RM-4RS strategy. No fuel saving. I really had to push hard on this race to win it. Only caught the leader on the final lap.

Some good fun. Now back to Nations Cup practice...
