I need some pointers on how to beat the Rome II Zonda race in the Pro League. I don't even remember how I beat the first race (Rome I), it was so long ago. I am using a C12S or whatever and they put me against the Zonda Race Car. I beat the first race like that, so there must be a way to beat the second race. My tweaking skills are not the greatest. Anyone got any tips. Right now I have it set up with the following settings:

spring rate 9.0(F) 6.0(R)
ride height 56(F) 56(R)
shock bound level 7(F) level 7(R)
shock rebound level 7(F) level 7(R)
camber angle 2.0(F) 1.0(R)
stabilizers level 5(F) level 5 (R)
brake balance is level 10 on both F and R
put gear ratio to level 40

from:

C12S Settings

I'm not sure if these settings are the best. Anyone know of a way to remedy that massive understeer? Beat the Pro Vitz series, Clio series, and Lotus series in the last couple days. I am at ~87.6%. Getting closer...

Thanks

I might have a go at the Zonda Cup myself (I've been putting it aside for way too long now, I have to face my destiny! :) ) and I'll share my settings (if any good) with ya. Oh, and killing that massive understeer wouldn't be the smartest thing to do since you have to take the Zonda like...around bends, and if you'd set it up understeer-free, that isn't an option anymore (the going around bends :) ).

I don't know if I can help you, because I haven't got the Zonda at the moment. (I bought one once, just to see what it was like - and I got it to handle pretty well..)

Well anyway..
You might try to set the front camber to 2.5 - 3 or even more, because it will work wonders when you are cornering...

Also take ASM down to 1 or 0, and TCS down to 3 - that will also make cornering easier, but take care with the gas when you exit a corner....

I hope this helps...don't give up :)

Here's a link you might want to check out:

You might even want to set ASM to 0 and stiffen the stabilizers a bit more (8 or 9) depending on where the car goes sideways (front, rear)

This is what I did to keep my Zonda from being a pain, I just wallrode all the corners, that way your car will just stay on the wall and you will not have to worry about spinning out an all that good stuff. By an LSD and put it to 5~25~5, the 25 will help in the hairbin if you dont wallride the 5's will improve the cars handling, buy either mediums or medium-slick DO NOT buy Superslick tires, these tires are the worst thing that can happen to the Zonda you first 3 laps will just suck so buy a set of tires that will heat up quickly like medium's and medium slicks, if you have to bumb the cars ahead of you to throw them off balance so you can make the pass, drive defenseively(brake late and take the inside line into all corners)

no no no! wallriding, please no.....

i had a realy bad time with these 2 races, i only just won the 1st race with the normal zonda, but the 2nd race i just could not win, but then i won a race zonda, now we are all playing with the same equipment and as if by magic i beat them.....thats my tip.

I did both of these Hudson-style: I won the Zonda Race Car first. Tried it first without, but the other Zondas handle like hunks of crap if you ask me...

A bit off-topic, but there seems to be a typo in the piece of info on Pagani in the Car Dealership section. It says the Zonda can accelarate from 0-100 mph in 3.7 seconds. I just find that a bit outrageous, surely they mean 0-60 right?

I won the Zonda C12S and it was a hand full, but I have set it up and found that it is just as fast as my Tommy ZZII, but I really don't know all the set-up for it, My zonda isn't even fully tuned, its only at about 620hp, mostly i remember is that I got a stage 1 wieght reduction and I put the brake bias on 1 on each that's really all I remember though. The handling has vastly improved though. :)

the zonda race /italian cup vs. zonda roadcar = a good GT-player challenge!!

I did it, offcourse!!!

....100% yall (three months ago, in case i did't tell)....

warning to some kind of players:

DONT GET 100%, you wont play the game for a long time after you do it, maybe its natural but in some way akl .adsmfsakdfm ka askdmf asd alsd f!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????

peace :)

JOT

Umm....

Fastest Acceleration For It.

Spring Rate And Ride Height=All the way up

Gears

Auto Set Up = Sports

Final = All The Way To The Left

Down Force= ALL The Way Up

If You Do It Correctly It Will Be An 8.7 Second On The 400M and have A Monsterous Top Speed With Excellent Turning

I'd suggest :

spring rate 7.0(F) 11.0(R)
ride height 70(F) 85(R)
shock bound level 3(F) level 10(R)
shock rebound level 10(F) level 10(R)
camber angle 2.0(F) 1.0(R)
stabilizers level 3(F) level 7 (R)
brake balance 3F and 7R
put gear ratio to level 40
LSD Ini : 5
LSD Accel : 5
LSD Decel : 1
ASM : 15
TCS : 7

It worked out well for me. Also don't forget to brake way before you reach the curve. I brake always between 100 and 50 meters signs. (halfway between which is some 75 meters) Wit the Zonda, you need severe braking instead of tapping.
Accelerate halfway within the curve, giving full throttle at the exit.
The most dreadful curve is the 60 degrees turn after the colisseum. The Roman paveing diminishes your tyres' adhesion power and thus your braking efficiency a whole lot. So try braking about 90 meters away, right after you pass the 100 meters sign.

Good luck :)
