It looks like you were experimenting brushes...xD

I can't find anything good besides the work you may have had in the high contrast in the Alfa. Besides that, I think you can start to use brushes in some shots but not overdoing it...or else it will be just a showcase of random colored brushes

See some tutorials and you can browse some galleries with very good use of brushes (i can remember Taiga's, ShaolinMasta's and gtuned's just to name a few).

BTW, I traced the Alfa's major lines with the pen tool and added some details by changing the pic to bw and selecting parts of the car. No high contrast tricks here lol
