Asia Collectors Edition

I bought a brand new asia collectors edition, shrink wrapped all good. However the codes doesn't work.

If we excuse the seller here from doing anything dodgy - is there any particular reason why the codes won't work? I live in Australia, should be all PAL, this is the Asia edition - is this why it doesn't work?
 
You need to set up a PSN from the country the disc is from, then the codes shall work

The region of the game disc must be equal to the region of the DLC codes
