Explain how the other games have the correct accents and Unity doesn't.
Is this really such a big deal, given that most of the accounts from expos like Gamescon suggest that UNITY has made major progress in addressing flaws in the previous games? The player now gets an objective and is given total freedom in fulfilling it, much like GROUND ZEROES.

It's not a big deal that I won't buy the game. I'll be getting the PC version around launch unless reports are say it's broken. I'm sure this will be the one of the best AC games.

In peoples opinion, will this be a game I will have had to play assassins creed black flag to be able to pick up the story? Will it have things from the previous? I have played all the previous but just not black flag.

Don't think so, new character and world entirely. I am also truly lost on the events at absturgo and what not, I have no idea what is happening and to be honest I stopped caring

You might need to play BLACK FLAG to understand ROGUE, but not UNITY. But it's well worth your time - it's easily the most straight-forward game in the series, and the naval element is brilliant.

A few points:

1) They're still evil.
2) The Animus now has cloud-computing abilities, so anyone can experience someone's genetic memories.
3) It's implied that there is a new faction, the Instruments of the First Will, running around (you have to get all the post-it notes), and that neither the Assassins nor the Templars understand the purpose of the artifacts.

Is it me or did the animations for walking through the crowds get worse? liked how the character used to push and interact more with the crowds to go through.

So this game will run 900p 30 FPS on the PS4 just like the XBONE to avoid debates.

Modern day gaming never ceases to amaze.

"Technically we're CPU-bound," he said. "The GPUs are really powerful, obviously the graphics look pretty good, but it's the CPU [that] has to process the AI, the number of NPCs we have on screen, all these systems running in parallel.

"We were quickly bottlenecked by that and it was a bit frustrating, because we thought that this was going to be a tenfold improvement over everything AI-wise, and we realised it was going to be pretty hard. It's not the number of polygons that affect the framerate. We could be running at 100fps if it was just graphics, but because of AI, we're still limited to 30 frames per second."

The AI thing is disappointing to me. This game is supposed to be a restart, to correct the things from AC and do the real vision they had back then but couldn't. Sadly though I already know the Jaguar CPU side is similar performance to a budget laptop.

Ubisoft have once again opened the floodgates, so they should be prepared for the storm that's going to hit them. Should be hilarious. But then again, maybe the attention is what they want for this title and series......who knows.

That is a load of garbage. The PS4 and the XBO use basically the same AMD processor. I think that there is a money trail somewhere that leads to MS convincing them to throttle the performance of the PS4 version, not this BS Ubisoft is feeding us right now.

Though if anything, MS's old arcadic rule that graphical performance of a multi-plat game must be the same to publish on XBO is coming back in a big, but secretive way.

The story trailer is odd - I would have thought Napoleon and Robespierre would have been natural Templars, but apparently Napoleon is allied with the Assassins. Although from what I understand from other details, the Templars have divided into factions. I guess Napoleon could be a Templar willing to side with the Assassins.

Given the choice between a smoother frame rate and smarter AI, I'll pick smarter AI ever time. 30fps might not be peak performance, but so long as it's consistent, I don't care.

Better change the thread title to Assassin's Creed: Parity
Hopefully they still patch the PS4 version to 1080p like they did with Black Flag. On my screen the difference was pretty clear.

Not sure if you were thinking I was on about frame rate but I was saying how I want the AI to be much better. Sadly Ubisoft can't do what they wanted with these CPUs. We should be seeing much more complex AI systems and more dynamic interactive worlds from last gen.

On the topic resolution I don't have to worry on PC. 1080p is always as baseline I stick to on settings. Going to 900p and for example increasing other settings doesn't work as upscale kills any fidelity.

Here is 1080p 900p and 720p

Upscaled 900p is more close to 720p than 1080p. There is improvement over 720p but its still blurry. Running games at 900p on a 1080p monitor is not something I would ever consider.

This is from AC Black Flag 900p upscale and then the 1080p patch

It can vary though as Shadow of Mordor on PS4 is 1080p and XBO is 900p but PS4 has some blurry AA solution so PC at 1080p looks way better and PS4 over XBO is not dramatic.
