New update may 7 anounced on the discord.

Version 0.2 of Assetto Corsa EVO drops May 7 at 14:00 UTC!

This is Early Access Release 2 (EA2) – and it’s bringing serious heat.

New Cars:

Maserati GT2 – A triumphant return to GT racing. Refined through years of competition.

A track beast with Italian soul.

Lotus Exige V6 Cup – Lightweight, razor-sharp, and track-tuned for pure performance.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA – A high-performance twist on a timeless icon. No electronic aids, pure driving.

Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione – Born from motorsport. Aggressive aerodynamics, raw turbo power, and racing spirit.

Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6 – The turbocharged icon. 3.6 liters of raw, analog power from the golden era of Porsche.

Mazda MX-5 (NA) – The roadster that changed the world. Lightweight, balanced, and endlessly fun.

Honda NSX-R – A rare, track-focused legend. Developed with input from Ayrton Senna. Balanced, precise, unforgettable.

New Tracks:

Circuit of the Americas (COTA)
– 20 corners of technical mastery in Austin, Texas. Elevation changes, F1-grade layout.

Donington Park – Historic and beloved. A fast, flowing British circuit with deep motorsport roots. Two new challenges. Seven new cars. A massive leap forward.

EA2 is more than just a release – it’s the foundation for what’s next: new gameplay modes, major improvements, and the future of Assetto Corsa EVO taking shape.

Hm. Interesting. We haven’t used that particular iteration of the logo for quite some time. I wonder how that came to be/if that was approved or signed off on.

I’ll buying a new pc once the multiplayer comes out
With this, PMR, Nascar 25 and Wreckfest 2 all coming to console within the next year to 18 months (on current schedules) I'm feeling a bit less inclined to invest in a PC. The £80 games may change that at some point though.

Ah the mods + VR.
I mean if the optimisation will be better than ACC...

But the mod tools shown in the video are tantalizing.
VR is not for me, and as a lifelong console gamer (mostly on PS) mods have never really been a thing. I'm usually pretty content with the standard content, if that's not up to par there are enough alternatives.

Looks like there will be a nice bump in performance.

"I am pretty confident you will see those..[fps increments] PCs are difficult beasts because of the combination of configurations but pretty much every PC we tested scored very big improvements both in the raw FPS and the frame pacing (smoothness) department.. some low spec config went from unplayable (< 15fps) to almost 60 so fingers crossed for tomorrow and I'll hope we'll see big wins everywhere."

The performance here on my PC increased a lot after this update, they worked miracles.

I did a quick race at Donington, and it went well, but my driver went invisible in the cockpit view, so the wheel was steered by ghostly hands... Come to think of it, that would be an awesome visual mode.

Had a quick hour to mess around, performance definitely improved, COTA is still horrible as a track, Donington is brilliant. Stand-out cars so far are the NSX and the Alfa Sprint for me, and the MX-5 has enough options to maybe even make @Famine happy.

Is the "Opponent Behaviour" slider new?

As far as I can tell, you can't change it at the moment, but the AI behaviour seems great for the extreme safe end of that slider. They're excessively timid, but that's perfect for the extreme safe end of the spectrum.

I'm really impressed by how much they've improved the game already, it really is a very good experience for just enjoying races against the AI, even at just the 2nd early access release.

The driving line could do with some work, I find if I brake when I see it change from green, it's often too late and I can't make the corner. But that's about the only major flaw I encountered in running a race against the AI.

Great update, thank you Kunos.
Better performance in VR, actually running very well now for me.(RTX 4070 ti Super)
Much improved career mode and open mode. I think this solution is a keeper.
The 3.6 is a dream to drive.
Found the toggle for the HUD, as , for me, moving the HUD out of the way with the mouse, as I have done countless time in 0.1.6, crash the game now.
Overall 2.0 is a giant step forward.
