Zagato has a long history of producing re-styled Astons. This looks great in my eyes.

Even if you do not like it, the world of cars would be less without it.

I like it, although I prefer a standard V12 Vantage.

they suggest the price of at least $80,000, then they certainly are not going to get much of a purchasing audience.

Since the V12 Vantage goes for 160 000€ or so, this one will be around 200 000€ or more I guess, they are not interested in people that will not give $80,000.

I like it to, and Aston aren't looking like re-styling an Aston any time soon, we've been looking at the same car pretty much for a long time now, since the DB9 or arguably even DB7 very little has changed and ultimately a design I used to love has got boring now. Though they still look good, and the Virage does look better than the original DB9, it doesn't make me think wow like the DB9 first did.

It's refreshing and different, 👍 from me.

The roof/trunk transition is a bit weird but otherwise the car looks awsimz.

Yeah that sloping rear is a little awkward. Am I the only one seeing Spyker in the front view?

Bam.

.

My thoughts exactly. Stale.

By the look of this heaping scrap metal, Aston Martin is looking at the hill they will soon be falling down on. This is probably the first disappointment by Aston Martin I have ever seen. If they suggest the price of at least $80,000, then they certainly are not going to get much of a purchasing audience.
How is this the hill they will be "falling down on"?

Zagato always designs somewhat questionable cars & this one is actually among the best looking, imo.
Aston's designs know what the brand is normally aimed at & after seeing the new Virage, I'm pretty positive the Zagato will follow the same plan as the previous Aston Martin Zagato's; limited production in comparison to the other models.

As for the price, a V8 Vantage starts at $120,000. I'm willing to bet the Zagato starts at $300,000, & that's low-balling it.

Not a fan of that green... Gulf livery, anyone?

That said, this is a beautiful car. I like the route that AM is taking with the development: concept, race, then production (pretty please?). It's like the LFA, hopefully this doesn't take 9 years to build.

Gulf livery is the most awesome livery ever. Would look great on this car

Without even checking, I'd bet they've sold 75% of the production run at whatever price they just happened to dream up at the time...

Edit: It's a run of 150 cars, priced at £330,000 each (which is pushing $550,000).

I love how some people are saying it won't sell well because of its looks (that they don't like) and that the cashed up have some sort of taste, reality check time people. Theres more well off people in the world than we're lead to believe and they'll generally buy almost anything that pulls at their heartstrings. Going by the average of people here that like this car its obvious that in the wealthy circles there'll be enough who want this car and will buy it, simple as that.

I for one would be putting one of these in Gulf livery in my garage if I had the money, no questions asked.

This is a racing car, as they showed on the 24h of the Nuerburgring:

There was also a red car:

People buying racing cars might not decide on looks alone.

No Gulf Livery yet on the Zagato, till then this V12 Vantage is from where I live (but I do not see it often):

It seems the Vantage is now the new basis for the Aston Martin racer.

replacing the DBRS9.

That's got what to do with the Zagato other than it's an Aston and is a racer?

Partially agree with the comment, but did not find it worth a new thread.

Except that both are Aston Martin Vantage V12 based race cars, I guess they do not have a lot in common, but that would probably make them closer than you and me.

If you read the whole thread people (including me) stated that the Vantage V12 was better looking. The picture is certainly relevant to that discussion.
