This my my 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T. Got her this year for $2,700, had to replace the intake manifold because she was leaking oil, but she is running better than ever.
Has 2 step launch control, the engine has been fully rebuilt, makes around 250hp now, new clutch, its just a joy to drive. My next project is going to by rims and tires, my friends want me to get some Volk Rays TE37 SL's, but I'm not sure how they would look on her, any ideas for either some new rubber or rims would be much appreciated!

I really love these! Always had a soft spot for eclipses.

Really tidy example too, wish I could pick one up so cheap! they're rare as hens teeth for some reason here. Looking forward to seeing where you go with this :)

Nice model Eclipse, good to hear you're chasing new rims because I'm not a fan of those ones.

Thanks guys, I got extremely luck finding it, just happened to see it on craigslist and went to check it out. After the rims I may got towards upgrading the suspension more, I think 250hp is plenty for now lol

I'm actually going to upgrade my braking system next, ordered Brembo sport slotted rotors and Powerstop Z26 high performance brake pads tonight

Ouch... faux leather..

If it were my car I'd be looking into some bucket seats ASAP, faux leather freakin' burns in summer and is generally really uncomfortable in 90's Japanese cars.

They were a really poor attempt at seeming luxurious

Trust me, they're on the list of things to get done lol. Sadly I won't be running her this summer :(. Going to my dad's, but it's worth it, plus a summer job hopefully, so more upgrades! Going to drive my dad's Kia Rio lol

We have a few nice roads here, but when the weather is nice enough to go for a spin, they are over run with mobs of mid life crisis Harley riders...

I may go back to Houston this summer, but that's besides the point, I almost got in trouble today at my school because of my 2 step lol

Seriously nice clean Eclipse. There are so many bad examples in the wild, refreshing to see one that is good 👍
Thanks, i do take a lot of pride in how clean she is. People keep on telling I should go full on body kit and crap. Why put money into a body kit when i can put that money into performance and make my car driver better.

Nooooo put your seats back in, don't become one of those douchebags.

The weight saving is so insignificant it's not worth ruining your interior for.

Already put it back in, my mom wasn't happy finding seats out on the porch

I'm glad; Trust me man, it's just not worth it and it ruins the resale value dramatically.

It's your car obviously and you can do as you wish - I can only beg that you see sense - I've driven cars with and without stripped interiors and the intact ones are always the more pleasant to drive while the stripped have no appreciable difference in performance.

I also wasn't thinking that I may have to drive my little sister to school and stuff in the future, actually someone wanted to buy it today, I said no way. I've only had her for a few months, probably going to look into some new seats, it hit 75 today and that was a uncomfortable ride home

Recaro and Bride make excellent reclinable bucket seats, they're comfortable for every day driving while giving great support in cornering.

I know I probably sound like a bit of an arse about all this but believe me, I've done all the "Track spec yo" and regretted it. I even got a fixed bucket for my current car (R33 Skyline) and removed it after about a week I think? in favour of an OEM upgrade.

So yeah.. go check out what OEM upgrades there are for your car or look into some reclinables. Don't get fixed or it'll make your rear seats almost entirely inaccessible
