One of my friends does the clutchless shifting in his Civic, with varying results.

My main problem is that all of my stick driving is done in small spurts in a variety of cars in the parking lot, all have different clutch feelings and throttle response. This just gets me messed up. I'll go from driving a costomer's '88 RX-7 to a new Subaru Baja Turbo and they act completely different. I a lot of times take preventative measures to insure I won't stall or burnout. Our car wash at the dealership has a sloped approach and you have to come to a stop to type in the code and then get into the car wash. In stick cars I will stop perpendicular to the slope, get out of the car and type in the code(or I type it in before I even get into the car to begin with, but sometimes other people beat me to the car wash) and then just drive straight in. It works a lot better than the risky slope launch.
I am currently looking for another Mazda for myself and it'll be a stick. The people that can drive sticks the best are the people who have stick cars to drive, every day, in various conditions and environments.
